Call newegg was told there is no way they would check the firmware for me. Called Ncix and was told all their stock have the 1:1 firmware upgrade. Ordered one from Ncix to be shipped to US.:)

Thnaks Travbomb for the links

I can not find any official NEC site regarding these monitors or their actual release date in U.S. If anyone has a link I appriciate it.

Are 2690 or 2490 are capable of displaying the full 1080P signal from external sources(e.g. blu-ray player)?

This will do 1:1 with HDCP with retail price of $679 http://support.gateway.com/s/Manuals/Desktops/8511715.pdf

Does any one know if NEC 2490 or NEC 2690 have 1:1 pixel mapping capability?

I received an email directly from Benq that FP241WZ will be released before end of the year.

Thanks for the reply

I have been reading about upcoming NEC 2409 on this forum. But I can not find any external article or announcement about this monitor. Does any one have a link for this monitor outside this forum?

I got an email from Benq that FP241WZ will be released before the end of the year in the United States.
