This game is really good. It started off kinda meh, but things really get going beginning at chapter 3. The game has some nice gore. I like how when you shoot enemies in the head, chunks of their head gets blown off.

Supposedly, the developer heavily modified the engine to output at 30 fps in order to get better lighting effects and that ID tech 5 engine ties frame rate to speed of the game.

That recommended 4 GB Vram is disappointing considering how the game looks. Hope it still runs smooth on my 3GB card though.

Actually never mind, I toggled the creative audio mode from game to entertainment and back to game again. Now surround sound works. These creative drivers seem kinda wonky.

I am using an optical cable with Dolby Digital Live and my speakers are set to 5.1.

I've noticed that the dsfix mod interferes with the lens flare effect. I have a screenshot without dsfix showcasing the lensflare and then a screenshot with dsfix showing the missing effect.

Is it me or does this game not have 5.1 sound? Anybody notice this game only uses stereo sound?

oops, never mind, I have it working now. I had the resolution set to 1280x720 in the in-game menu. Changed it to 1920x1080 and now everything seems to be normal.

I tried multiples of 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0. and they don't work.

I'm trying to get the downsampling to work with dsfix 0.3. I'm putting in 3840x2160 as the resolution in the ini file, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I end up getting worse image quality. Using 3840x2160 gives significantly more aliasing.
