Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Talk about a weapon you don't want falling into the hands of the general public.
Strap it up in the back of a truck. Put on a camper shell. Cut a few holes in the top. Take down your choice of helicopters and small aircraft (and drones).
Sample size variability in this "report" is very questionable: 40 vs 400 vs 4000 vs 14000
Say what you want about confidence levels, but it is not standard practice to have sample groups many factors in population difference.
Not sure I would rate $100 as exactly expensive, but to each his own.
PC gamers don't game on budget PCs. Casual gamers will game on budget PCs, like the Asus desktop or HP laptop they bought at Best Buy. I doubt they elected for the Linux install.
WRT dvd's and media center, yes due to licensing and also the Windows Media team was disbanded long ago.
I don't know any regular users who update unless I set force updates to install, so I'm 100% in agreement with MS on forcing updates to Win 10 Home.
My Netgear has options to both disable individual usb-able services (network share, print, dlna, etc.) as well as the usb port itself. I wonder why they are saying it can't be disabled?
Looks like a great device for a SageTV client or other media center front-end.
I could easily replace my parents' PC (that I gave them) with one of these too.
Incorrect. Life observed on just one planet is statistically insignificant. More accurately, the rule is no life, but we simply don't have enough direct observation to really make rules.
Bolden thinks he is going to find a flying carpet on one of his cultural outreach trips. (/sarcasm)
You are 110% correct. The moon as a stepping stone to other space destinations is the only feasible plan that brings back its own scientific and commercial benefits. Human spaceflight is...
Intel is criticized for the slow Broadwell roll-out. But a big chunk of the supply would be for the desktop PC business where demand is slow. It is reasonable that Intel wants to maintain its technological lead, but this demonstrates just how costly that can be. It would not surprise me if...
Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) Internet Explorer 7
Windows Embedded Standard 2009 (WES09) Internet Explorer 8
Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 Internet Explorer 8

I wonder how many POS/terminals actually use the browser vs...
Actually, in general the cost of MS software* has been going down.
What is much more likely is the contract agencies will just pay their employees less to balance out the PTO.
Models are great for fashion events but a waste of time for any technical product/service knowledge. Ask anyone, and most will tell you that free stuff and after-show parties are what professional conference attendees want.
"The bill sets a 20-year limit on the tax exemption. Google public affairs manager Darcy Nothnagle said Google wants a longer-term exemption"
Go big or go home.. Google just as well should ask for subsidies. /sarcasm
QFT ^^^
Football, Hockey, and Golf fan here. "Cable cutting" is absolutely not an option until professional sports are 100% streamable in HD. My guess would be we're still 5-10 years from that.
Meh. I see no controversy. In general Microsoft will be in the best position to determine the severity of bugs/vulnerabilities, and they will decide how much resources/time to devote to a possible fix.
Reading Comprehension:
The Army won't go lower than 60%. No need. This is just recruiting fluff to increase the applicants, of which there are already enough to meet recruiting goals.
Patently false. Provide results of a blind comparison test that demonstrates people, even "golden ear" experts, can discern differences above 44/16. You won't, because in over three decades, no one has. Science > anecdotal garbage.
