Competition is good :D
wow I just saw Thunderbird on the first page and it reminds me I still have that thing somewhere in my parent's basement somewhere...
Had a friend who asked me to fix her computer... asked her for her password so I could, you know, log on and take care of it...
- "Oh no I can't give you my password, I have confidential information on my laptop"
- "Here you go then" (handing her back her laptop)
- "What? You're not going to...
aaahhh thank you Blue Fox :)
Wouldn't want to be doing something illegal there.
Weird that it worked very well for the WRT54G routers as well as the iPhone...
And it was so clear there at the end of the scale in inSSIDer :)
Thanks for the explanation!
It does connect automatically when it sees it. But when the router is on channel 4, the laptop doesn't even see the network. Doesn't appear in inSSIDer either...
on WRT54GL running ddwrt.
So I was using inSSSIDer to find a channel that's not too crowded in my neighbourhood.
Saw channel 14 with no other network on there, so went to my router and changed the channel to 14 - 2.484 Ghz.
It's weird, everything else connects (my iPhone, my other WRT54G...
Yep if you price it out with proper specs, it goes up quickly to around $600... which is a bit ridiculous... I'll be keeping my 4850e/780G ati setup that was way cheaper and is running my htpc nicely in an antec mini 180 (looks marvelous behind the new panny plasma)
:D
Just ordered one as well :) Price is $499 today in the canadian store instead of $750!!!
Been waiting forever to get an IPS screen... hopefully this one will be nice.
It will be interesting putting it side by sode to my Acer F-20, which I still love to this day :D
Downloading now - thanks for the tip!
Played a bit with the demo a while ago, and thought I would give the full version a try. Worth $1 :)
(I never play games on the PC)
No there isn't.
Get in the car. Put 2 hands on the wheel. Drive to your destination. Once there do whatever the **** you want.
No drinking, no eating, no watching DVDs, no texting.
People have a hard enough time keeping a stupid straight line as it is without all these distractions.
If you...
I've been looking for another F-20 for some months now... too bad newegg.ca has *nothing*... :( no stock... no deals... nothing...
You guys that got this for $130... I'm officially jealous :p
Don't get me wrong: I fully agree that the best solution is just to get everyone in Outlook and be done with it instead of starting to fiddle with 2 different mail systems and trying to integrate with AD while routing users on the same mail domain to different systems and resolving address book...
Thank you supergper and xeon for the hints - I'll take a look this morning at zimbra and roundcube for starters. ilohamail development seems stopped since 2005, so I'll keep it for last.
We're looking at providing an entire mail system for a portion of our users that make very light use of email and for which spending $80 / user for an Outlook license is not economically sound (there are around 3000 of these light users).
Hope that makes sense - it's been a long night... :)
Complicated - we are using Outlook, but this solution would be for users that access email a couple of times a week only. Problem with Outlook is the cost of the user license for these very light users (there are close to 3000 of them, with a CAL fee of $80 / user...).
We thought about using...
Hello,
I've been tasked at looking at a solution to provide web-based email to some of our on the road employees, and I have to admit I don't have a clue as to what is available currently.
I found things like SquirrelMail, BlueMamba and RoundCube, but don't know which ones are reliable and...
hmmm... it would have been nice if they had kept the look of the older 20in model (which is sitting in front of me as I type). Where's the Ferrari red back and stand??
Any sign of a 24? I want 1920x1080 for my next screen!
:)
I've been wondering if a 32" HDTV would be good as well... have my eye on the Panasonic 32LZ800, but the price is quite high still at all the places I've seen it here in Montreal. I'd love to hear from people who use this kind of setup have to say about it as well :)
Looks good and I just finished building my new HTPC :)

I've been using the original XBMC forever so this could prove fun!
If it gives you some ideas, here is the HTPC I built last week:
Antec Mini P180
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H AMD 780G mATX AM2+
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4850E
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 640GB
Corsair CMPSU-450VX
Noctua NH-U12P
2GB OCZ DDR2-800
XBOX 360 HD-DVD drive
The whole thing cost me something like...
I'm looking for a freeware equivalent to Tuneup Utilities Disk Space Explorer (http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/features/free-up-disk-space/?sx=0&sy=171#st see at the bottom) - need to categorize the contents of a couple of disks, so I don't need all the other utilities that...
I had the T20s, and I just bought the T40 because I got a great price on them at $80... all the reviews I read on these say you have to break them in for a while in order to get the best SQ you can from them.
Haven't tried a lot of different speakers before, but I initially bought the T20s to...
Went smoothly on my desktop under x64 Ultimate - about 45 minutes as the others have stated.
But on my laptop - HP Pavilion dv6333ca - running 32bits Home Premium, it just won't install, either from Windows Update or from the complete package. I've tried multiple times, went through all the...
