So that one piece of cloth took up a full core..........
And with as multithreaded UE3 is FOR RENDERING (important point) you want to sacrifice 1 core per piece of high vert. cloth? Why are you scratching your head? You just proved where the PhysX card gets useful!
(side note, you may...
Just so you know Deathspine, that is false information in the context you are taking it. Just leaving it at that. UE3 CAN run on a dual core as well (there is your hint!)
Welp, glad it worked out for ya! My PPU doesn't put out much heat so, don't worry about that tight fit being a problem ;) (Thanks for no help thread hijackers!)
Thats a pretty sensible answer, I think every one can collectively agree that once UT3 is out and its "underlings" you'll be able to say once and for all "yay" or "nay".
Look for GRAW2...I think it comes out here really soon, and they're using all PhysX...so if you are into that game! I'll...
Haveyou read the details of Havoc FX :) ? Non-gameplay at best, plus their tech demos are crap. PLUS their prices are much more, PLUS where are the GPU physics titles? Sorry, I just hate GPU physics :-D
WHY would you rather pay more money for less? Are you an ATI fan? (OOOOHHH thats a...
I think we are talking about the same one? Not sure, but I'm hunting for anyothers, the one I tried tweaked the map files around to improve rendering, by tweak, i mean removed assets (lights, disabling cloth, fluids, etc.).
But yes, please people post up some FPS, Interested to see what some...
I'm leary of posting in this thread due to the fact i've tested this before at the company site.
But I did look into the "Tweak.ini" file.........Got a 6-7 FPS boost without PPU, and 5 FPS boost with PPU (Note: I'm doing a total of about 35-40 FPS on Proving Grounds with PPU)
I checked his...
Oh don't worry, I'm sure even with your texture resolution reduced, your game will still suck with your specs. But, it'll reduce the choppiness from HDD lag like in BF2, etc. Your notable FPS will probably still be low. Was just trying to help you out.....
Hey.....read the release notes where it says system requirements  That 2 GB of ram is no joke....crank down your texture resolution and you'll get significantly better performance
Well,
Question 1: Are you going to continue playing JTF? If so you have to leave the drivers installed or else JTF will not play.
IF you aren't...just go to add/remove in the control panel, and the drivers should be there to remove (I just saw that you tried that....) and if not go to...
I've done part time testing with AGEIA and trust me, this may have been true (w/o cloth) in CF:Combat Training, but this game brought a quad core to its knees. (I think I'm still good in saying that with my NDA  )
But hey, worth a free download :D
(OK, thread hijacked enough)
