lol I play DM everyday, if you are European there are multiple DM servers that are usually full. In the US/Canada there are 2 active DM servers that get players every day. UT3 is dead but you can still play. As for a new UT? Not from Epic anyways.

The only time I care about 60fps is when I'm gaming competitively. If not anything above 35fps is fine

I would not use a VA for any color critical work. The gamma shift is very annoying if you are doing image editing. However for movies and games they are superior in almost every way. Most people have TVs for such things so for computer monitors I'd stick to IPS.

The u2711 undercovers red and green, it's been measured on many review sites. I still use the sRGB mode because I don't have money to invest in a calibration and it is much better than neon colors in other modes. Gamma is also a bit low (2.0ish)

I would take any measurements taken from a European site with a grain of salt. It is not uncommon for US sites to find strikingly large differences compared to their European counterparts. Often the screens are not made in the same country and differ.

50k for an LCD? I don't care what kind of electonics are inside they are still IPS monitors with a low contrast ratio. I'd much rather have an OLED at 1920x1080 with a good LCD monitor at a reasonable price for anything desktop related and it would be about 40 000 cheaper.

Why would they make another UT the playerbase is all in their 30s and up now.. All the kids play the military shooters now. I think the best we could see is a remake of an old UT game with new graphics.. which really wouldn't be half that bad.

My apologies for assuming. However at least in UT3 (never played 2k4 much) if you do not dodge better players will run circles around as it speeds up movement. No matter how good your aim is if a guy is controlling the map and getting all the armor and udamage you will not win.

This :( being a gamer that started gaming in the early 90s I can see where PC gaming has been and where it is going. I guess it's all a part of getting older though but I just don't see PC gaming being the same thing to today's generation as it was to mine.
