I'll be getting the K65 and the M40.
I originally was going to get the M65 mouse but I use the 'claw' method of holding my mouse and I've read the sniper button is an issue with that way of use. This M40 seems to be perfect.
Asus makes great products. I've had my G73 as my main for a little over 3 years now. zero stability issues. Looking forward to what Asus has in store for the next G-series, hopefully in time for Battlefield 4. I'll most likely upgrade to that.
The chome OS notebook is nothing fancy, I've had mine for a month and don't use it very often, it's so limiting to what you can do. the 100mb/mo free 3g service from verizon you get with it is nice though! I keep mine in my car and use it there mainly.
Yup!!! Same here! Sold my Q6600/260GTX system and got the Best Buy G73! I'm loving every minute of it. Better performance and way more portable (and the best part is I didn't even pay tax! :D Bought it in Portland wooo!
I don't use fraps but it's got to be 40+ at med-high settings even in 32man. I was expecting it to run somewhat equal to my desktop it was replacing and I was quite surprised when I was getting better performance with higher settings. There is a youtube video posted that shows someone running...
Just got the BB 1200$ model! It's sooo nice! plays BC2 really well! a lot better than my desktop it replaced Q6600/260gtx.
I'm amazed at the performance of this guy for being a laptop.
This is what I'm doing , My Q6600 will be 3years old come April! :D 3years has been my track record with 3700+ in 2004, Q6600 in 2007 and a i9 in 2010! increasing the number of cores each time!
Did she change the default settings for texts? By default the Droid only saves 200 texts per contact, perhaps she changed this to a higher number and thus it started freezing..
1600x900 is more my style, I don't need the super fine pixelpitch.
Now if only they had a model with i7, 1600x900, 4gb, single 320gb 7200, wishful thinking.
You would be better off with a GTX260m in previous laptops mentioned as it is a better gpu than a 5730m.
While the i7 in this one is nice the GPU plays a bigger part in a gaming laptop.
man that's tempting... I'm really holding out for Asus G73, but this is 700$ cheaper and the only difference for me would be the lower 5730 as opposed to the G73's 5870... man oh man!
The res is a bit on the low side >_> 1600x900 would be ideal
I'm sure you have seen the Asus G73 on their site, I'm getting it once it becomes available, The 5870 beats the 280m.
mobile i7, 5870, 8gb ram, 1920 screen, dual 500gb HDDs, bluray (which you could take out to save 100$)
Best you're going to find currently at that price with "very good graphics" is an Asus G51, but it's only a 15.6"
there is a 17" Acer TravelMate, It has a decent 9600GT graphics, but a mediocre cpu, and only 250gb hdd.
I'm being lazy and only looking at newegg.ca sorry, but Asus G51 is...
Most if not all new laptops have a key to turn off the screen only, or you could just close the laptop and the screen will turn off. Make sure in the power options the computer wont hibernate or turn off after a set time.
Can you wait till the end of January? Asus has a new gaming laptop they just announced at CES. It's called the G73, It will have the best mobile GPU available, the new ATI 5870, faster then the current leader the 280m.
Here is a good page describing it. some sites have preorders up for it...
Just pony up the cash and get a real desktop replacement. I'm looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834146613.
240m is efficient for WoW and it has the new quad i7 cpu!
I played it for the first time today, game ran really well, no issues that i could see. the gameplay is great with squadmates, but being that its PS3 no one had mics, im looking forward to the PC beta in december. im so bad with joysticks for movement and aiming, i guess i just dont play enough...
