Well, Standard Definition DVD's won't look that great on the monitor since they are only 480p. You need to find a better source (ie get a hdtuner card, etc). Google for high def video clip and you should be able to find some samples to check out in 720p and 1080i.

One other note, those of you that will be going the DVI to BNC route (or VGA to BNC I guess), make sure you set the drivers and whatnot up before you hook the monitor up. I made the mistake of removing my old monitor and eventually had to hook the old monitor back up to install the monitor...
