I'll have to re-watch the video, but I'm pretty sure Linus stated that the VESA bracket is only going to be included in the box in some markets.
Unfortunately he didn't say which markets that would be. I also don't think his review sample came with one otherwise he would have included it in the...
These could be interesting, especially if they get rid of IPS glow?

Wow.... LG just decided to open the flood gates!
YES, A CURVED 34" DISPLAY (BASED ON THE UM95) IS COMING .... and more!
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/lg-to-unveil-34-inch-219-curved-ips-monitor-at-ifa-2014.html
:D:D:D:eek::eek::eek:
I used to have a 40" SONY LCD TV that had pretty bad clouding and edge bleeding.
I fixed it 100% by gently pressing on the screen around the clouds with a soft cloth.
Over the span of 2-3 hours the clouds evened out into a nice black fill.
So yes, you are right... Any uneven edge...
Thanks, I'll check when I get home tonight.
I'm pretty sure that I don't have this option available on my UM95.
I've gone through all of the menu settings a few times and haven't seen anything about "DisplayPort 1.2".
Strange.....
I've twice had the right side half of my UM95 go bonkers, but in both cases it was after awakening the display from sleep. It has never happened while the monitor was on and being used.
In both cases I simply cycled the power of the monitor to correct the problem.
Both occurrences taking...
I had the same 2560x1080 DVI setup as you and changed over to DP with the 34UM95.
I was expecting worse overall performance due to the higher res, but was in fact shocked to find out that the UM95 actually "feels" a bit faster (smoother). I don't know if it's due to DVI vs. DP, or if the...
Odd.... Maybe they just grabbed and used an older box in your case?
Seems like kind of a strange thing for production to do though... I suppose if there was a box shortage they could have used some older stock?
Of course this Rev .01 vs .02 stuff may not have anything to do with the...
The thing about IPS glow is that it shifts (or even disappears) depending on how you are looking at the screen. I suspect this is more a function of the matte coating on most or all IPS displays than it is an actual flaw.
The 34UM95 being as wide as it is, is more susceptible to visible IPS...
Hmmm.... I'm running a single GTX 780ti and I can't say I've seen anything like this yet.
I thought I might have to go with an SLI setup, but I've been pleasantly surprised with how well a single 780ti performs with this display.
I think I'll wait for the next gen cards to come out before...
Yes mine came directly from the Toronto supplier as well.
To this day I haven't received a shipping notice from where I bought the display from, go figure?
It's unfortunate to hear about the crack in your screen. These things happen sometimes. Wonder if it was something that happened at...
Well I caved, and set mine up last night (got home early so figured what the heck!) :D
So far all I can see is a bit of IPS glow in the bottom left and right corners. Depending on how I move my head, this glow disappears and was further lessened after calibration of the panel.
I don't see...
Looks like my panel was made in "May 2014".
Looking at the distributor lists for Canada, there are two less displays on order compared to yesterday. I'm assuming mine was one of them, so who else in Canada got one?
I think I'm going to muster all the strength I can and hold off...
WoW..... Today's a good day!
Not only was I promoted to Department manager this morning, but my 34UM95-P just arrived completely unannounced!!! :D
WOOT!
Surprise Surprise.... Canadian distribution dates have been pushed back yet again for this monitor
The new ETA's appear to be:
British Columbia = July 2nd.
Ontario = August 8th.
I'm not sure why Ontario is getting them a month later, seems a bit odd to me. However the BC...
According to Canadian distributors, the west coast (British Columbia) should start receiving units today with Ontario receiving its initial shipment early next week.
This date has moved several times already so I take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully it's true
True Colour Finder is the software colour calibration component and can be found on the included CD, or probably on LG's website.
As for a calibration meter, I use the Datacolor Spyder 4 Pro with my LG 29EA93 (29").
It comes with it's own software, but just go ahead and use the True Colour...
TUSB3410 is the USB 3.0 device ;)
Just Google it and I'm sure you'll find the driver..... OR .....You can look on the ASUS website (most of the newer Asus ROG series motherboards use the same driver. Try the downloads section for the Rampage IV Black Edition for example ).
If the monitor...
Just per-ordered mine :D
After taxes etc.... it came out to $1,152 CAD.
Looks like we won't see them here in Canada for another week or so.
Some distributors are showing initial shipments coming in the week of May 12.
*Fingers crossed!*
All the online pre-order prices I'm seeing here in Canada are between $985 - $1,050.
Funny enough, it's actually worth adding the UM95 to cart to see what the final price will be after taxes, eco fees, and shipping... because in many cases the more expensive initial sales price tends to be...
Ooops, sorry... Didn't see your message so I'm responding rather late :(
Anyway, my TV cabinet is the BDI Avion 8927

Jamie
That would be a bit too much for a desk setup IMO!
...Granted, I could imagine three 55"- 60" 21:9 displays being used for a dedicated simulator as being rather epic! :D
The bezel on my 29" LG are quite thin and because it is a full-glass type of display, the bezels tend to...
I've got my 29" EA93 in front of me so I'm alright for now.
But I gotta admit, every 2-3 days I get a strong uncontrollable urge to hit the BUY button for a 34UM95 :D
I'm however not willing to go so far as to spend $1500+ on a grey market unit.
Well scratch Ebiz...
I contacted them a couple of days ago asking about availability of the UM95... No response
Just checked their site and I see they've completely removed the item.
Oh well...
ebizelectronics.ca in Canada has the 34UM95-P listed for $995.27 CAD.
That's the cheapest I've seen to date!
I've never dealt with this company though, so I'm iffy on ordering one from them
Got an update from Hookbag today...
They said that they had to cancel my order because their supplier has suddenly removed availability of the 34UM95-P.
As such, they couldn't put one on pre-order for me and have also removed it from their website.
Looks like there's some delays...
I haven't seen any in Canada listed for more than $1,200 CAD so far.
US pricing (for some strange reason) seems higher at around $1,500 US
Guess we'll have to wait for the dust to settle and see what the actual price will be once stock is available.
I pre-ordered one of these yesterday morning here in Canada from Hookbag ($1,030.00 CAD + Free shipping), unfortunately later in the afternoon they sent an email stating that they had cancelled my order (no specific reason given) :(
I have also noticed that some other e-tailer's that had...
