elder scrolls do not fall into this category.
games in this category.
1. Planescape torment, the originator, and probably still the best example
3. Dues EX
2. Arx Fatalis - very challenging very old school, unlike mass effect 2, this is also a game and not just an interactive movie

I don't see the value of AMD from MS point of view. They don't seem to get anything out of the deal except a seemingly failing company. What am i missing?
Given the cost of the first two. I'm betting Sony is helping fund this, and it's on kickstarter to prove to Sony that there is serious interest in game.
that's not a violation of anti trust law. it wouldn't even be close. Firstly, the majority of the GPU market is held by intel. Secondly and more importantly, the discrete GPU market is not one in which the justice department or EU would be concerned about, because its affect on the general...
ammm no, they decided to use what was cheapest, this turn out to be the AMD Soc. both MS and Sony decided they would not lose money on hardware this generation, this is what happened, only AMD didnt have an option that was more valuable than this deal. it's been noted that combined the deals...
they make don't make allot money from the consoles. they do make a profit, but it's tiny. Nvidia finicials have back up there assertitions that the oppurtunity cost was not worth it for them. AMD didnt really have choice, I'm sure if they had had, more profitable options they would have walk...
Does this suprise anyone? it's been this case for years about AMD having terrible developer support. On the other hand, for years there have been stories of Nvidia sending engineers and making sure games works on well on thier hardware.
you pick a vendor so you can forum shop. I pretty sure Gigabyte was chosen because it allowed to pick a jurisdiction that they felt would be favorable to plaintiffs.
this will probably be a settlement. Nvidia would win at trial or even if they lost the damages would be minimal (because the card is so damn good).
civil cases are always breach + damages. even if you find a breach, you have a find that breach led to some type of damage.
I'm not sure you...
it is by defination not a frivolous lawsuit, when a judge determined that there were valid issues of fact to support the plantiff and let it go trial and a jury found that there was in fact an infringment and awarded damages.
Nividia was smart about this. the major breaching party is qualcom. so what nivida did was bring it to samsungs attention. samsung felt that qualcom should pay, however by continuing to use qualcolm products in the two years after being notified of the breach, they left themselves open.
nvidia is going to win this one. Samsungs position is incredibily weak. there best bet is that qualcom is going to be hit with breach and not themselves, but with the 3dfx and geforce 1 and 2 patents, nvidia is extremely strong in this area.
on its own the game is ok, but I was expecting the next SMAC, i was expecting the successor for is in my opinion the best 4X game ever, and so with that in mind, my perception of the game is that it's just awful.
I hate when ignorant people talk about stuff.
first off glide was awesome. the problem with glide was that it couldn't run 32 bit color, which became a liability when resolutions got higher.
3DFX failing had nothing to with mantle and every think with trying to be a board manufacture which...
it's always nice when the president of the company vindicates a position you take. The Wii will now die the slow turbo-graphic 16 odd man out death. Here's hoping they realize that they always need to cater to the core first then chase the casual gamer.
as pointed out here http://www.volokh.com/2014/01/14/winning-losing-net-neutrality-decision/
this was a pyric victory for verizon, and has with this decision, pretty sown the seeds of its own destruction, sometimes it's just better to leave well enough alone
each kindling requires 1 humanity, which you can do a max of three times.
In NG+, kindled bonfires retain thier kindling level, all NPCs return and all your sins are forgiven.
no, you need to be human to kindle. to be human is "reverse hollow". once you are human you can kindle the bonfire, which increasing the number of times you can use the estus flask.
xbox 1 and ps4 launched in november and both sold over a 1 million units. the Wii sold awful in november, and the fact it was a 340% increase is not a good thing, you sell 3x times more and it's still abyssmal is not something to be proud of.
when the ps3 and xbox launched, neither of those...
i have owed a card from pretty every manufacture, even the matrox millenium. the fact is the 290x is a half assed attempt. while i glad it caused nvidia to lower prices, it really is a poorly executed product. I certainly hope AMD does a better job during the next gen.
I'm still in shock there are people who belive that the 680 was ever intened to be the top end part.
it was obviously a mid range part that performed better than AMD's top end part, and as captialism demands, it became the mid range part that got sold at high end prices.
this was already explained by the Nvidia developer who created FXAA. The problem is the esram and deferred lighting.
if you use older more obselete lighting technigues like forza you can achieve 1080P. however with more advance lighting technigues there is just not enough esram to mantain...
I have a 780 so i see no need to upgrade now, but this review is a little scary. Nvidia with a design that is 1 year older, just released a card that is as fast, more efficient and cooler than the new redsign that AMD just released.
That does not bode well for competition in the future.
no you can't put any price you want and still sell it. you can price an item for what the market will bear.
they could and can only charge $699 if they expect the market can bear that price. The market will probably bear that price if it is the best item for $699.
Therefore I am fairly...
nvidia is going to win, otherwise they wouldnt be able to charge $699.
as for $K, who cares, a few years it might matter, for now, it's a big who cares.
It's kinda troubling to me, that nivdia can take a chip it made a year ago and get better performance, that's also most likely going...
Nintendo will be fine even with the failure of the Wii, which is all but assured now.
I don't even think you need numbers to realize that the system is dead in the water. The PS4 and XBone have completely occupied that mind space, they have litterally consume all the oxygen in the room. It's...
because it isnt progress. it's using way more energy, it's more inefficient. it's cheaper yes, but it's not better, if the titan or 780 came down in price, hands down they would be superior products.
I think the 28NM process is probably the biggest reason, until 20NM i don't think we will...
