My replacement ZR24w arrived. My first one has debris sandwiched in the LCD in a rather annoying area (but no dead pixels). I'm happy to have this one arrive with no dead pixels and just one tiny bit of debris in a non critical area. I'm amazed at the few reports of dead pixels on this...
I currently have a 24" BenQ FP241W 6ms P-MVA and even sitting in the center of it, the corners show a color shift. Does S-PVA offer any improvement over MVA panels? or am I simply going to have to keep looking at S-IPS and H-IPS to go up from here?
24" for sure. I retouch photos so while it doesn't have to be 100%, a more accurate color pallet is beneficial. I keep hearing about *-IPS displays but don't know of any models and those leave me worried about video playback without noticeable ghosting.
Is there a happy medium display hard forum users would suggest that performs well with photoshop color accuracy and fast enough to watch 30fps video without noticeable ghosting?
My primary use it watching video and graphic design. I like the sound of the new BenQ 24IN V2410 LED LCD but...
Today was the 2 week mark since my monitor was dropped off for a firmware upgrade. I called again for an update and BenQ said it shipped yesterday. A little confused since I specified pickup I called the repair center and sure enough it was waiting for me to come pick it up.

I'm using a monoprice gold plated DVI->HDMI cable form my dish to the FP241W and get blue sparkles even when the DVR is paused. sparkles indicate dropped bits and is a common problem on the westinghouse LCD TVs. An example can be seen here.

That's 720p. I have my dish box deinterlacing for me.
1080i is softer due to the not-so-great deinterlacing the LCD performs. I'd take a pic but it's something you'd have to see in person to see the difference. Black levels are quite good. better than the 2407 no doubt. BenQ is still on top...
It's elongated
pulled vertically
however you want to say it. It's still a fine PC monitor it's just pointless having HDMI or component if the signals are distorted.
I suppose some people won't mind especially if their use is limited but when watching real life action your brain notices...
I purchased this LCD and it arrived 2 days ago.
I purchased it because of the extra inputs so I could run an upscaling DVD player via component and my Dish in the HDMI port in addition to my PC. Afterall it is marketed as a Multimedia 1080p monitor.
It does indeed strech my TV's 16:9 signal...
I have a feeling the release date was pushed back or the article was false (since this is the only online source quoting the release date as the 24th). Has anyone called to confirm?
