Does anyone who has this monitor have a problem with it being TOO bright? I had a Dell 2405 awhile back, and it was so bright I had to turn the brightness down to zero and still use the nvidia control panel to lower other settings to reduce brightness even more.
Just wanted to make sure...
Thanks for the pics! Is NEC releasing the 26 & 24 at the same time? Street date still going to be October? Looking forward to shots of the 24, pretty sure that will be my next monitor...
I'd stay away from the large screen samsungs for now (214t, 244t) due to input lag.
I would like to hear a review on that Sony sdm-s205fb from a gamer perspective. Anybody have one?
Thanks for documenting this - I had a 244t and sent it back because the lag drove me crazy. Has anyone started a list anywhere of which 20+" panels lag versus which are safe?
So far, I've heard the Apple cinema 23" and this Dell 3007 don't seem to lag. I don't really want a 30" screen, so...
testing was done like most of the others.
Nvidia 7800gt dualhead in clone mode connected to Samsung 244t (DVI) and Sony 21" CRT (same resolution and refresh). Primary/Clone monitor was switched so each had a chance to be primary display.
I didn't know about the digital clock method at the...
Another good post about this on the dell forums (also speculates about the gm1601 being the culprit).

Hmm just dug up another interesting puzzle piece. Guess what signal processor the Dell 2001FP uses? The Genesis gm1601. Another point of interest is this monitor doesn't even use a Samsung panel (which seemed to be the common denominator), it uses the LG.Philips LCD LM201U04. So it's looking...
I believe both the 2405 and the samsung 244t use the LTM240M1 panel.
The listing of the new 24" panel on samsungs site (LTM240M2) is interesting. Only difference in specs seems to be that it is S-PVA instead of just PVA. Strange they didn't base the 244t on that one, unless it is just that...
I've been trying to dig up some information as well. As a recap of what I've found, the samsung 244t has the exact same lag problem (I tested myself with a crt). There is also a post with a video showing the dell 2001fp with this issue, you can find that here...
The Samsung 244t has this exact same problem, I just returned one because of it. I had the 244t and a 21" crt on my dualhead nvidia 7800gt. You can easily see the lag just moving windows around on the desktop. Sounds like this overdrive technology isn't working out as planned, if that's the...
Sorry, already sent it back, looks like I'm gonna be on a crt for awhile longer. I don't know if this problem is more pronounced on larger lcd screens, but I didn't notice this "delay" at all on my REALLY old samsung 151v (15").
Here is a link to another post on the subject that includes a...
I just got a Samsung 244t (24" 8ms 1900x1200) and guess what, it has the lag too. This may not be that suprising since it supposively uses the same panel as the 2405, but this isn't just a dell issue. I hooked up a crt in clone mode on the dualhead (7800gt) to compare and the delay is very...
