thanx for the positive comments guys. i received these modules from Buffalo in early Januarary i believe so they are not that old. of course that doesn't mean that every kit of their PC8000 is going to be D9GKX but it will be at least D9GMH which is just as good or better in most cases.

^^^ the exact same recipe i use when testing for long term stability. every kit is different and it never seems to be the same program to always fail so you will definitely want to run each and every one.

i hear ya, although my sticks aren't quite as good as yours. they aren't even close to be honest but that may have something to do with the CPU being used. those bloody 65nm parts coming soon better clock to 3400MHz so we can at least max out decent sticks of memory.

stay away from the 6400C4D...they are not even close to the same as the 8500 C5/C5D (nicely binned D9GMH). the 6400 C4Ds shipping now have Promos ICs and will have limited overhead. just letting everyone know because what Corsair is charging for them is a joke. grab anything but the 6400...

memory only runs at the speed you tell it to, memory isn't "at" any speed. the highest memory divider on AM2 is for DDR800. to get DDR1000 you need to overclock the FSB while on the highest memory divider. HTH
