I've been hearing that there's a noticeable difference in handling when going from a MX700 to a MX1000 (and vice versa).....can you post your experience?
....I called Logitech about my errant MX700 - thanks to ChingChang's suggestion. Since I'm at the end of my warranty, they were going to send a MX1000 as a replacement but I opted to upgrd to a G5 for < $10.00!!! :D

I'm upgrding from a MX700, too! I can't imagine there being a 'more accurate' mouse than this, so until I get my new MX518, can you explain the differences you experienced? Does it perform better in games? Let me know everything!! ;)
I'm hoping someone posts the 10% Buy.com code quickly, too. I was to upgrd my MX700 yesterday to a MX518 (@ NewEgg - $38.98 shipped) but I luckily came across this thread :) But now, I'd prefer to get a nice 'retail' MX518 and the 3 year warranty for $31 vs the 'refurbished' model and its 30...
Does input and connector technology matter or is it merely one's 'personal experience' - (or a combination of both) - that makes a good mouse? Is there a way to determine whether wired vs wireless, optical vs laser or USB vs PS/2 gives the better performance? I'm leaning heavily towards...
