Well, if anyone comes looking, apparently the workaround for getting it to work in Windows 7 still works for Windows 10.

Not necessarily. I could set things up so that line of sight wouldn't be a problem. I just prefer the RF route so that I don't need to point it anywhere in order for it to work.
I figured someone would say that. The point of the remote is to have instant access.... not to have to unlock my phone each time and open the app every time I want to do anything.
Just curious if anyone has been able to use their ATI Remote Wonder on Windows 8 or Windows 10. I am using the original Remote Wonder, which I purchased after learning the others would not work past XP. It was kinda hacky getting it to work with Windows 7, but it did work. Just curious if...
It's expensive... but I would probably do it... IF the card had HDMI and not just a display port. What's up with that? I hope the monitors will have the full set of ports and not just display port.
I had a question about this mouse as I can't seem to find any information on it.
How is the scroll wheel in comparison to a Logitech dual mode scroll wheel? I've found myself really using the dual mode a lot, and at this point I might find it frustrating to give it up. I'm wondering if it...
Yes I'm looking for a solution myself as well. I have the G500 and a func1030 mousepad. I like to have the sensitivity maxed, but that also creates more noticeable problems with friction. Trying to move the mouse just a little bit and it will stick a little before moving, so you end up moving...
OK thanks everyone. I'm not sure what did it, but Windows somehow sneaked in the driver update even though I told it not to install them automatically. It worked, thankfully. Driver version is 275.xx. I guess I will try to install the new drivers. Glad my card isn't bad!
Thank you, looks like that should work perfect! Yeah I guess the ASUS one wouldn't work. At least there's one company thinking about this stuff. Maybe my next board will be an ASUS.
I was just wondering if anything like this exists. It would be for your power switch, reset switch, HDD light jumper pin hookups. I have been saying for YEARS that they should make them hook up as a plug, it just makes it harder then it should be.
I just helped a friend build a computer and...
I just bought a new SSD and installed it yesterday. I was trying to restore a backup I had just made to it so that I wouldn't have to reinstall Windows... but I just couldn't get it to work. So, I reinstalled Windows. Everything is working great, except when I try to install the nvidia video...
ASRock's z68 Professional board includes support for fan/heatsinks with LGA775 brackets.
However, I've read that not all have worked properly, thus it isn't really 100% compatible. I own the Zalman CNPS9500, which at the time I bought it, did not include a LGA1155/1156 bracket. I thought I...
Yes, I'm aware PCI 3.0 will not work on SB. Some boards are advertising it as a feature for when IB comes out. Since I'm about to drop some cash on a new MB, and seeing as I only upgrade every 2-3 years, I thought it would be best to be future proofed as much as possible.
Will PCI 2.0 work...
Oh, I guess I should have specified that I am looking at getting a LGA1155 board. I'm not sure what to make of the other thread regarding the incompatibility with Ivy Bridge even though they are listed as being compatible.
Is there are certain time of year when motherboards are traditionally...
I'm looking to buy a new board next month. It seems difficult to really locate any info on upcoming releases for motherboards. There are only 6 PCI 3.0 boards (Intel) on Newegg. I was hoping to have more selection!
Thanks for any help pointing me in the right direction.
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-NR385E. The bottom says it's model PCG-7112L - which I don't understand. Both are legitimate models, and it meets the right specs. I'm not sure if it was a rare model as there doesn't seem to be a lot of info about them.
It has an Intel T5550 Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz...
Had this same exact case. Used it for my first build. No offense, but it was a piece of garbage, but I didn't know better, and things were different back then. You certainly managed to give it a great overhaul. I eventually bought a new case and gave it to my brother. Unfortunately, I was...
Been having some trouble finding answers to my questions, so thought I'd ask you guys.
What is the benefit of the APU? I am wondering if there is any benefit to gamers. I have a mid-range graphics card, how does this work with the APU having a built in GPU? Is it only for onboard graphics...
Was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions for what a good backup program would be. I'm not that familiar with the programs, but I wanted something that could create a backup image as well as a bootable backup. I would like it to be able to run automatically on a schedule - to say -...
Thanks guys. I think the majority recommended CloneZilla. I'm afraid to try the new ATI or Ghost based on user reviews. I know not everyone has problems but there were certainly a LOT of people that did.
I've also heard EASEUS is pretty good... although limited in options (and free I...
I dont think this will work.
From the FAQ:
14. Q: Can I remap a mouse click to a new key?
A: Sorry, but no. The remapping technology that Windows uses to remap your keys isn't aware of your mouse.
:(
Ok... well I have a Sony VAIO laptop with an Alps touchpad. The options for changing button functions... are pathetic. I actually want to change the function of the corner tap "button" but the options are so limited. I can only set the corner tap to act as a primary/secondary mouse button...
I was going to upgrade my smaller HDD here and was wondering what would be the best software to clone it with. I've notice disparagingly different reviews between editors of tech sites vs. customer experiences. So I'm not sure I want to trust them.
Not sure what to use really... last time I...
I just got a Sony VAIO laptop - but the touchpad drivers for it doesn't have corner tapping set up the way I like. It only has one corner and you can't even assign anything useful to it.
Is there a third party program I can get to do this? I've searched some, but finding results has been a...
