Mid 90's...one of my friends showed me Command & Conquer on his PC and it was a wrap. My family didn't own a PC, so I had to talk them into buying one. Then newer games came out and my video card wasn't good enough, so I upgraded the video card...and that is what got me into IT. Down the road I...

Curious how much hardware you can change before MS won't allow you to re-activate? I found this, which says a hard drive or motherboard change might cause you to lose activation - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/why-activate-windows-10, but it doesn't say how much you can change...
This is subjective. I've played both GT and Forza, and GT feels more realistic to me. Here's a good side-by-side of GT6 and Project CARS...

I always try to buy the best, even if it means having to wait/save up. I'm due for an upgrade, so even if I won't win the AMD Radeon HD 7970, I'm buyin one!
I'm looking to upgrade for two reasons. I can't run some of the latest games at full resolution with playable frame rates, and my current ASUS Crosshair III motherboard and ASUS EAH5770 will be going to my son's first computer! Very excited that he likes PC gaming too!
I have an ASUS 5770. Anyone know if a DVI to s-video adapter connected to my TV will work? I found the adapter on newegg, but most of the reviews are people saying it didn't work for their card.
I just went through the same thing and went with the Phenom II X4. Best bang for the buck, and AM3 will be around for awhile so you'll have CPU upgrade options for awhile.
I've had mine for about a year now. For the price, I don't think they can be beat. The only issue I've had is my ears get hot after an hour+ of gaming.
I have dust filters on all of my intake fans and still get dust inside the case. It's not anywhere near as bad as the cases I had without filters. I can go about a year without having to clean it out now.
I'm using a Steelpad 4d. I don't think it performs any better than a cloth pad, but I prefer the feel of how the mouse moves on this surface. For me, it was worth the $20.
I went with the Crosshair III. I figured it's Christmas and I haven't upgraded in a long time. I'm going form an Abit AV8/Opteron 170 to Crosshair III/Phenom II 965.
I'm using JVC HA-RX900 with Zalman clip on mic. My ears start to get hot after an hour or so, but they are very comfortable and I can play for several hours.
I switched from Cox to FIOS over a year ago and I'll never go back. I had random/intermittent latency problems with online games on Cox. Haven't had any problems with FIOS, yet.
I have a 965 (C3) on the way, but can't decide on a motherboard. I've narrowed it down to ASUS M4A79XTD EVO or Crosshair III. Any reason to get one over the other?
