EA: How badly do you want our ad dollars propping up your site?
Reviewer: Badly!
EA: Well we just love to advertise on sites where we get good reviews....
I have used Apple Maps about 6 times to find a place I haven't been before. I live in Calgary, Canada. Not only are the maps out of date, but not once has Apple maps been correct. The closest I have gotten is 5 houses down on the other side of the street. I for one, welcome our Google Map...
Maybe it's because all of the chain video stores are gone and it's Redbox Canada's cruddy selection or nothing. I can't even rent a video game anymore. What the hey?
I figured out how to close apps!
Move your mouse to the top of the window. Click and drag the app to the bottom of the window and release the mouse button. Ta da!
Yes Crysis 2 has flaws, but it is a pretty good game despite the fact it is not like Crysis 1.
Just don't be all up in arms when Crytek doesn't do PC games anymore. Fail. Ha!
So much hate. At least, I'm hoping that Crytek learns that it's better to under-promise and over-deliver than vice versa.
Also, If you are going to change the game play so much, change the name so you don't create false expectations! Even if the game had been called Cry Baby, they...
Okay.
First, second, and third, the report is not an independent study; it is put out by Microsoft. Could there be any reason for Microsoft to skew the data? Hmmm.
Ninth, after reading the report, I see that the report does not mention patching status of the average computer in each OS...
The $15-$20 million is great bait. I think it's fair to point out that most people in the movie business make regular wages. Even most actors make regular wages
But yes, I acquiesce, less than 50 people on the entire planet make the kind of money OP is talking about. So we should all pirate.
It doesn't sound terrible-- if you read the article, the legislation includes protection for downloaders. Only hosting websites are on the hook. They are also want to drop the copyright tax on blank media. I have no problem with this.
I have to speak up here, because that front page post went way too far.
Business is business, people and if you haven't figured out that it's a very risky investment to create AAA single-player PC-only games these days then you have your head in the sand. Crytek went to consoles because...
The composer is choosing the timing of each note, the rhythm, meter, musical scale, and instrumentation. With all those items predetermined, you can make coherent music from your computer's random number generator. And it too will sound "complex and strange, but also [have] an eerie, spooky...
Nah, but I have Telus here in Alberta. To make their HD look better in comparison, they have lowered the quality of a lot of their SD channels. So much so that the channels look like complete blurs. I'm on an intro 9.99 a month plan--when it's done, I'm bailing.
The reason why there aren't more original IPs these days is thanks to pirates. Companies are forced to play it safe to ensure that they can stay alive. Same with music. Can't be daring anymore, you risk going under. So you stick with safe, mainstream music.
What, you say, EPIC is doing...
I think ATI did a great job with the 5000 series, but if anyone thinks that the fat FERMI chip with 40% more transistors isn't going to kick the 5870s butt (despite it's ECC, etc.) is kidding themselves. The only question is how cost-competitive it's going to be.
Vengance 01, I called the 800 number, but the extension doesn't work (help?). I asked others about Mark, but there's a bunch of Marks there. And the other people I talked to (I called several times) could not know less--they can't even find the card on their system.
And you talked to Dell...
