Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Couple of things:
1. Does anyone really want a thinner phone? In my opinion they are getting to be too thin to handle comfortably.
2. Why cares what it looks like? You go by the numbers. Numbers and statistics are what you pay attention to.
There is more to this. I have tried searching with every high profile keyword I could think of and got nothing. I love wasting the time of these clowns.
I don't see why people love tablets. You still have to lug around a laptop since most of the tablets, such as the iPad, only run apps. The surface pro looks fantastic. For most tasks on the go I use my iPhone. The iPad has too many cons. It is as bulky as a laptop and only has the functionality...
I think he is pointing out that they have tried to improve the Start Screen which isn't even useful in the first place. They need to be focused on improving other things, such as usability.
I actually like change when it improves my experience. You can't really talk about tablets because Windows is being marketed for the desktop. And from everything I have read my optimism about Windows 8 has turned to disappointment. I really, really want to like it. MS just hasn't made it easy. I...
It seems like many of the Windows 8 supporters are just trying to say that Windows 8 is as good as Windows 7. It is supposed to be a lot better in order to justify the cost and time of upgrading.
Am I the only one who really misses the look of Windows 7? The look of Windows 8 reminds me of 3.1.
Why not give me the option to turn Aero on or off? What is the benefit of having a bleeding edge system if the graphics look like crap?
Searching for a program means you must know what your searching for. In many cases when you walk up to a machine you want to browse all the programs on the machine.
Same goes for files. When you are looking through tens of thousands of customer files you want to use list view in windows, not...
I think my biggest gripe is that Microsoft seems to focus on crap that I never use. I don't care if Windows shows me the an app store, weather, twitter and Facebook crap along with news stories. Show me how it makes my gaming, editing photos, and desktop publishing better.
The start screen...
Your not the only one. I remember tech support frequently saying to try re-installing the OS. On the Macs it wasn't too bad, but with Windows and having to re-load the programs.....uggghh..
Why do people talk about re-installing Windows as if it is a 5 minute procedure? It is a frickin nightmare to un-register, re-install and re-register it. Takes a solid day to get things back to the way they were.
Could someone give me an idea where I might find the drivers? It appears my motherboard uses the Intel C600.
I have the Intel RST drivers loaded in Windows. I tried again to change the BIOS over to RAID and while loading Windows it flashed a blue screen and rebooted endlessly.
Then when I...
Thanks for the info.
I tried switching the BIOS from AHCI to RAID, but that made my machine no longer boot. Is there some trick in order to get my RAID setup without affecting my boot drive and the other two drives which are not part of the RAID?
I am setting up a RAID using my Asus P9X79 Pro MB. Is the built in raid controller going to be just terrible compared to a RAID card or will it work just fine? I am planning to do RAID 10 with 4 3TB drives. I will be using it for storage of my photos and videos so speed isn't that big of a deal...
I find it interesting that while they mandate higher mpg on light trucks and cars they are ruining the mpg on trucks. I have a 1998 Dodge with the diesel engine that gets 20mpg on the highway and weighs 8000 lbs. The newer diesel trucks weigh a little less or the same and get around 15mpg on the...
What gets me about thieves is how they don't seem to care about consequences. If I was planning to steal a car I would fear that the owner would come out in a rage and shoot me until dead. So then my thought process would tell me that my possible death outweighs the benefits of stealing a car...
I have read several stories in the past year or so stating that the desktop is on the way out. The thought seems to be that laptops are taking over but will then give way to tablets.
Maybe I am short sighted but I really can't imagine this. I have all three and find each has it's uses but...
I have had many UPS systems that I picked up at local stores over the years and they have all been pretty much worthless for anything other than protection from surges and letting my machine shut down.
I am looking for a UPS that will supply the 600watts my computer monitor, speakers and router...
I really can't believe that people put up with this from an ISP. When I pay for an internet connection I expect it to be able to supply me with 100% load whether I use it or not. At work we currently have 3 ISPs supplying DSL, Cable and T1 connections. None of them impose any type of bandwidth...
Everyone is acting as if this has been implemented on the iPhone already. This is nothing but a patent on a technology. Apple has patented all kinds of things in the past few years. Most of which never see the light of day. I seem to recall Microsoft getting a patent for "shutting down a...
I might expect some uneducated person would say that they have a right to not be offended. What amazes is me is how many people seem to think they have that right. To those of you who believe they have the right not to be offended I offer you this. Your simple existence offends me! So by your...
My first thought would be that there is no way it's a 590 because that has already been leaked and by no stretch of the imagination is it anything new or next gen. Then I think back to all the hype leading up to the Segway and how it was something so amazing and how it would change the world...
I ran 3dMark 11 on my machines and the 470 is a lot faster. Surprisingly the 920 is also faster than the 2500k, which is running 600MHz faster, at physics tests. Here are the results with everything at stock speeds and running Win 7 64 bit and at 1920x1080.
2500k/460...
My daughter got the 460 and I am keeping my 470 in my machine. I would love to try an AMD GPU again but have to pass them by until their F@H performance improves.
I have two video cards. Which do you think would perform the best in my primary gaming machine at 1920x1200?
Card 1: PNY Signature GTX 470
Card 2: MSI GTX 460 Twin Frozer II 768 Meg.
The MSI card sure is quiet.
Floppies were so much better than cassette tape. I remember dad always tinkering with the volume when trying to read them on his Tandy Model I. We still have it wrapped in plastic.
I bought an MSI P67A-GD65 board and 2500k for my daughter this weekend but haven't assembled it yet. I am tempted to just use the un-affected ports considering she isn't going to need more than a couple of them anyway.
