I've kind of accepted the fact that it's unlikely I'll be able to get a card at MSRP within this year.
I'm looking to get the PS5, hopefully soon before someone figures out how to mine on these consoles
I've always had a PS console to play the exclusives, and JRPGs. So I'll focus on those...
Well, its official now.
At least we'll still be able to download our stuff after the store closure. For now anyway.

Wish I had collected more physical copies. Those things are going to increase in value now, lol.
I guess one good thing about gaming console is that you do not need to compete against bitcoin miners
I think even the scalper prices are quickly dropping, making it less desirable to them
I don't see an end to GPU woes, between scalpers and bitcoin miners buying them up, hardly anything is...
While I agree that CPD needs to take responsibility for releasing the game in such a bad state on old consoles, I cannot agree with the media or content creators calling the entire game a failure, just because of how bad the game is on the PS4.
If the game is working significantly better on the...
It surprises me that some still think RT is an nVidia gimmick, when AMD and the new gen consoles have all hop on it.
RT is one of the marketed selling points for the new gen consoles.
Back when programmable shaders were introduced, we didn't immediately get full dynamic lighting and shadows...
I hope Intel can fix whatever issue they are facing with their fab and get back in the competition.
This is bound to happen with the kind of market share TSMC have today.
I hope availability wont be as bad if/when RTX 3080 Ti comes out.
Already got my Cyberpunk 2077 copy, but no GPU to play it at the moment. Not with all the raytracing goodness anyway:cry:
My current PC is better on the CPU front (3950x, more cores and faster clock speed)
But my GTX 1080 is certainly worse. This will be addressed once I get my hands on a RTX 3080 :)
Currently a 1440p @165Hz g-sync monitor.
Once I upgrade my GPU, next year's upgrade will be the monitor, which I'm aiming for 4k @ 144Hz
I'm a little disappointed that the new GPU will not come with Display port 2.0
Though, there's no any upcoming monitor with DP2.0 either
With memory compression, I think its less straightforward to predict how much VRAM the new GPU will need. If it comes with a more efficient method, maybe it'll consume lesser VRAM compared to previous generations.
I'll wait for the reviews to see if 24GB offers any advantage over 12GB when it...
I really dont want Microsoft turning all those franchises into Xbox exclusive.
I'd rather have third party developers having those franchises and continue releasing them on multi platforms.
I wouldn't call it very futuristic, but I do like the PS5 design.
I just hope the white parts won't turn yellow after several years. I keep all my consoles
I was attracted to his channel when I watched the "whole room watercooling" project.
It is these projects they do that I enjoy most about his channel, and it's also what sets them apart from other youtube channels on PC stuff.
Their product reviews are fine, but nothing that makes them stand out...
I have been using Intel for all my past build for over 20 years, but this time around I went AMD, as Zen 2 is the only choice that excel in all important aspect of a CPU.
I got the 3950X as I've always wanted to build myself a high end PC and 3950X is currently the best game in town for the...
Here I am still waiting for 3950x to be available where I live here.
I admit I'll be disappointed if the 16cores Zen 3 comes out 6 months after I build my PC. If it comes out 12 months later, I'd consider that a normal progression
I wonder if this means we'll see Zen 3 within 6 months time?
Will probably be a couple months before I can get a 3950x for my next upgrade, and I'm debating if I might as well just wait for Zen 3
I live in Asia, and Steam is the only PC game store that offers localized prices that makes more sense to us than a direct conversion from USD.
Gears 5 for example, on Steam it cost less than half of what it is in Microsoft Store.
I don't see the harm in having options. Not like EA will stop...
I still remember being excited when I read about the benchmark result of the 9700 Pro. Those were the days when games were pushing hardware.
Couldn't afford one thought, and I got the 9600 Pro instead. Which was still an amazing card for its segment at that time.
I haven't been keeping myself up to date with the latest GPU news, but IIRC the last AMD offering was around the level of a RTX 2080
So, can I expect this PS5 Navi to be better than that? Or maybe a cut down version that is at least on par with RTX 2080.
Releasing the game exclusively on a new online store is a surefire way of ensuring your sales will be low.
Why bother making such threat, knowing that the publisher have made a decision that will negatively impact the sales on PC. :banghead:
I currently have Steam, Origin, and Blizzard App installed
Wouldn't mind using Epic store if they have something really compelling, like a new Unreal game :D but as of now, I see no reason to add yet another one.
Raytracing have always been the holy grail of real time graphics.
It'll take a lot of computation power, but it have to start somewhere.
I guess people these days take programmable shaders for granted, forgetting how challenging it used to be when it was first implemented.
Raytracing have to...
Thing is, it doesn't actually encourage competition when they remove the game from one store and sell it exclusively in another store.
It's only when a game is available on multiple stores, that these stores have to compete for our purchase.
Here I'll agree with you, that it's fine to have...
Taking the game off Steam isn't resulting in more choices for consumer, so I don't see how this is a win for consumer.
You have to pay the same price, but now need yet another launcher.
As someone mentioned, Bethesda did it the right way, make the mobile game announcement a small one, alongside something the fans really want.
It's that simple I don't know why Blizzard couldn't figure it out.
I'd say the biggest problem here is how they announced it. Making it a major announcement at the end of Blizzcon is just asking for trouble.
I get that they did it at Blizzcon for the press coverage, but you can't make it the main focus for your fans as well, knowing this isn't what they want...
IMO this is similar to programmable shader.
When it first came out, the first generation of cards could barely take advantage of the features.
Raytracing will bring huge changes to graphics the same way programmable shades did. But it will have to go through similar transitioning period.
I...
I agree with this. It will need time to take off the same way programmable shaders did, but I think the industry will eventually adopt it.
And I hope that is the case. As I feel recent advancement have been kind of stagnant, with most focus revolving around VR and 4k HDR display, but nothing...
Kyle, I don't need the lack of NDA to trust [H].
As long as you guys can give us an honest review, that is all that matters. And I'm very sure that you would not have contemplated this idea if you knew you could no longer provide us with an honest review.
It is irrational to expect you guys to...
Moving forward, I could see WD phasing out their consumer level drives such as Blue, Black, and 2.5" drives. These market segment will eventually be dominated by SSD as they get cheaper.
HDD will probably still be around for large storage application such as home NAS and enterprise storage.
IMO this is a non issue.
The real problem with EA would be how they are killing all the great franchise they have.
Such as their latest victim C&C :banghead:
This looks amazing.
This is how remake should be, from pre-rendered background to full real time rendered world.
Can't wait to see the look of that William Birkin monster in this.
I'm super hyped for this.
I'm so exited I can't even get mad about Fallout 76 being online game :D
To be honest, this was sooner than I expected. I thought Bethesda would let ESO run for a couple more years at the least before releasing the next Elder Scroll game.
I'm glad I was wrong. I hope...
I'll bet this idiot did not have any close friends or family who died from cancer.
This is not something you'd celebrate no matter how much you dislike the person.
No surprise he quickly became ex-employee of Bioware after it hit the media.
