I do have Sony G520 21" trinitron, however I still like to have a LCD for all general work. Text and web pages generally do look sharper on a LCD. Color wash and bad backlight prevents enjoyment in ANY work or gaming, not just serious work.

Not a video card limitation. I had two monitors connected through DVI on 6600GT - 1920x1200 - dell 2405 and dell 2001 1600x1200 at the same time. Right now I'm running two at 1600x1200 just fine.

Don't bother. I went through 3 of them and they all had the same backlight problem. Mine 3rd one is now waiting to be packed and send back for a refund. For $1k I expected better quality control. You may want to get replacement just to make you feel better but I wouldn't hold my breath...

BB took it back without fees. It seems that they are in a transitional state betwen new return policy that removes restocking fee for monitors. So anyone thinking about this monitor can go out buy it and try, if you don't like it - return it.
