Besides the multiple layers of issues that it could have been causing my problems, formatting did the trick. So I am not even sure it was that CPU-Z beta made a difference. I couldnt get windows to see 8 cores.
One thing I did notice was that settings in both AI and advanced would allow...
I agree with Optional. I have many builds that swapped out just the HHD/SSD with no issues. I simply removed the chipset drivers etc. In fact, I have a basic image of the OS for that reason.
In any case, it really is ideal start clean. Which I did. And it worked. I could have spent hours...
thanks all.
Nmanley. Those are the original threads I had followed before posting here. Great info! TY.
Falkentyne I can't edit boot.ini. Its versy strange.
CPU-Z reports 1 cores and 2 threads. This is what I have been concerned about. I think you are right - FORMAT.
Thanks Vittra,
I am using .2 beta now. Still same issue. But like I had stated above, I cannot edit the 4 cores in my bios. Mine is defaulted to "All" and I am not able to edit that section.
Something I just thought of. Back when I assembled my prior system, I had put in an OCZ SSD and followed some tweaks and tips on the OCZ Forums in getting it "optimized" for an NForce board. Mind you the SSD was new and there wasnt a lot to be read. In fact, my information contributed to the...
Thanks NManley.
I ran all those tools, stressing thesystem but as I have said above, Windows still lists 34x100 aka 3.4Ghz.
I went back and changed various bios settings per the HF Official ASUS P8P67 Series Overclocking Guide and Information. No go...
DeathPrincess,
Thanks. They do scale, but no matter what settings I apply in the BIOS, Windows only shows 34x100. That is with Manley's kit too, burn test and all. Stressed.
I used the Auto OC function in and out of windows. In Windows all it does is jack up the blck to 103. My...
I am hoping someone can assist with this. I have been searching the web for days on this topic to no avail.
I have followed numerous guides on BIOS settings for the new SB combo. My settings seem to be stuck at 3.4Gb in Windows 7 64 Pro despite changing in the 1253 BIOS.
I have...
Works perfect. Just pulled from my upgraded 790i so I have...

I have many. I have 3 sizes to be exact because at one point I couldnt get one of the brands to fit under a stock fan and had to bend fins. In any case, the following have been used but perform the same. I used a combination of Artic Silver 5 and Arctic Alumina so they would stay but remove if...
Hey guys. Let me get back to you about your requests. I am entertaining splitting this up among three interests. But rest assured you each are asking me for a different piece. Thanks for looking.
For sale is a custom water cooling system I built that was housed internal on a Lian-Li PC-7 case. This is for the liquid cooled setup parts only. Not the case. Pitcured below is the setup.
Here are the parts for sale and what I paid for them originally:
Swiftech MCP655™ 12 Volts...
Later on in this mod, the complete setup was as follows. I also quoted original prices of the items as I bought them:
Swiftech MCP655™ 12 Volts Industrial Pump $74.95
PrimoChill /PC ICE Coolant with UV blue dye Non-Conductive Liquid Cooling Fluid (32 oz.) (NEW) full $30
Fill port...
I love the Lian-Li in black. This was a great mod. I did one way back very similar (Bloody Stool), but opted to use a different style pump. Yours is so clean and green! Awesome job dude.
What were your operating temps like?
This shows the new SLI setup. I had to use the PrimoChill Anti-Kink Coils to achieve the SLI setup. Plus the UV Blue really adds to the effect:
As you can see in the finished product:
The new system that this was later revised and upgraded to:
EVGA 790i Ultra SLI (P08 rev)
4GB OCZ DDR3 1800 (8-8-8-24 2T - Linked and Synced)
EVGA GTX275 Superclocked SLI
300GB VelociRaptor in the Cooldrives
Intel E8500 CPU @ 3.95Ghz
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Antec TPQ-1000 TruePower...
I also forgot to mention that this will only include the liquid cooling products and not the hardware and case. The list is already on the work log but once I finish the references from different parts placed, I will post again. Thanks for looking all.
I plan on posting this setup for sale but I fall 8 posts short of the minimum requirements. Its been several years since I have played with this setup or forum. Time has been racing by and work got the better of me.
Thanks.
Its definitely a photographic effect. Kind of like snap shooting the moon.
The blue is quite subtle.
Wish I could hide the round UV fans, but that cant happen, and they were direct lighting on the hose.
