    Interactive Tech Salary Tool

Looks like I need a pay raise! I am right at the bottom of the area for my job. You have to wonder how large the sample size is for these tools. It seems rather small, as I can't choose any regions once I select the job and level.

    Broadband Services Approach Advertised Speeds

What you get and what you pay for are always two different things. The real problem is lack of competition across the markets. The speeds would be more consistent if there were more competition. Most areas only have one option for high speed internet.

    How Sony Lost Its Way

I had the misfortune of buying a Sony MP3 player a couple of years ago. I would say that the price was reasonable. The battery life was pretty good. The sound quality was also pretty good, but getting the fuckn music onto said device was more trouble than it was worth. And forget about actually...

School Uses Students' PCs To Spy on Them at Home

Sounds like the software company was afraid of being drug into this case. They are playing the cover your ass card by saying they didn't intend for this type of use. They knew exactly what the capabilities of their software was. Too bad there are no Mulligans in life.

Xbox Live for Original Xbox Shutting Down

Umm, I don't know what you are using to gauge this but the 360 is definitely a huge success. It sold over 36 million consoles, not a failure by any measure.

Mixing RAM. Who here does it?

Not much of a reason for it not to work, as long as you pick something that uses the same RAM timings. Or at least set the timings to the lesser of the two.

9 Ways ISPs Screw You Over

Security is everyones responsiblity, but there is a valid point made by Lebowski. They should offer some type of email protection seperate from anything the customer would have to download and install, as many of the free email services offer.
