My son used to watch me play video games, until his 4th birthday when I got him Toy Story 3 for the 360. After watching me play for 30 seconds he took the controller and never looked back. From there he really got into the Lego games. I find the older Lego games to be easier and more...
Mike, this is still a pretty widespread problem and there is no clear-cut solution. I spent hours researching and trying all different kinds of things to fix this problem. Here is a partial list of solutions that people have come up with...
I have the Vista TDR problem and I've tried so many things to fix it and nothing works. I heard that this problem is greatly alleviated by using only one stick of RAM. Right now I have 2 x 1 GB but if I remove one I'll only have 1 GB left. Where can I buy one stick of 2 GB RAM? Seems like...
After running prime95 with my cpu at 2.8GHz for several hours, the max core temperature reported by Core Temp is 65 C. Also I should mention that I am using a Thermalright Ultima 90 with a 120mm Scythe fan. Used AS5 when mounting it.
I do have the A1 version of the eVGA motherboard. My memory is Corsair XMS2 (sorry I originally posted it was Patriot). It was set to 2.1V, which I found at the Corsair website, but I just realized that after I flashed the bios it reset to 1.85V. Now I'm going to change it back to 2.1V.
I...
I just built a new computer. Here's what I got.
Evga 680 SLI Motherboard (flashed to latest bios, P31)
Q6600 (Revision G0)
4 GB PC3200 Patriot Extreme (set to 5-5-5-15-18-2T but can go faster)
8800GT x 2 (SLI)
Vista 32-bit
In the bios I have many things turned off such as Limit CPUID...
I set up fan profiles in rivatuner for the first time yesterday and it seems to work. The fan speed adjusts based on the gpu temperature. Here is the guide I used.

I just installed my 8800GT. According to the model number on it, it should be running at 600MHz. According to GPU-Z it is 650MHz. Either the model number is wrong or GPU-Z is wrong.
This PSU is on the certified list for smaller (less power) cards, but it's not on the list for the 8800GT. As I mentioned before, everything on the certified list for the 8800GT is at least 600W. This seems to contradict eVGA which is saying that 450W is enough.
Hmmm. I'm confused. First it looks like my PSU is not on the SLI Certified PSU list. Everything on that list seems to be 600W and up.
Second, the eVGA website says you need 400W for one card and 450W for SLI. How can the second card only require an extra 50W? That doesn't seem right...
What do you think is the minimum size PSU needed for running two 8800GTs in SLI? I just bought a Corsair 520W and I'm wondering if that is enough. Besides the two video cards I have an E6750 cpu, two gigs of memory, 2 hard drives, one dvd/rw drive, and an X-Fi sound card.
Hey guys a signature is required upon delivery. I didn't want to deal with it so I called DHL and asked them to hold mine at the local station until I pick it up.
I just called. Here's the latest story. A shipment was scheduled for Nov 3. Frys wanted to be able to fill all their orders though, so they called the manufacturer and requested a bigger shipment. Rather than have one shipment come on Nov 3 and then a second shipment on Nov 5, they decided...
Okay I just called again, was told that today's shipment still hasn't arrived. I'm still hoping it will get there by the end of today. I was told my cards will be shipped in the next day or two. I'm optimistic but I won't be shocked if it doesn't happen.
By the way, did you receive an e-mail confirmation about yours shipping? I was told by phone my would be sent out but still waiting for an e-mail confirmation.
Also, who ships on Saturday?
Also I am very impressed with the service so far. This is my first purchase with them. I have called customer support several times over the past few days and I always get a CSR on the phone immediately. I have never had to wait. Also I know they are taking a LOT of calls from people wanting...
I just called and a CSR said they are expecting a shipment on November 3 and November 5, and that my order will be filled out of one of those shipments. Hopefully I'll have a card in hand by the end of next week.
I just ordered the MSI P6N SLI PLATINUM and 4 x 1GB of crucial ballistix. Does anyone know if all 4 sticks will work on this board? Yeah kinda dumb asking after I already placed the order, but too late now.
I went to the MSI website and looked up compatible memory for this motherboard it...
Yeah thanks for the link. It does have a different rebate form, but it also says one rebate per address. So maybe they will honor it along with my separate rebate form from Buy.com even though it is at the same address. Then again, maybe they won't. I might just take a chance and order it...
Is this good memory to use with the MSI P6N Sli Platinum?

I just ordered
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202541818
but it is one rebate per address. If I order a different brand (to get another rebate) with the same timings, will it work the same as if I used the same brand for all 4 GB?
