Ok, great, thanks. Antec just approved my PSU RMA, and Asus never gets back to me...Does anyone know how to get Asus to acknowledge the need for a mobo replacement?
No extra PSUs laying around, unfortunately.
I was wondering though: could I place the parts on cardboard/wood? I don't see why not, but I wanted to double-check.
Hi everyone,
Because both my PSU and motherboard need to be replaced (under warranty), I need to basically remove everything from my PC until replacement parts can be received.
How can I safely store the components that are not directly attached to the case (processor, RAM, video card)...
Sorry for the necropost:
If the hard drive is indeed dead, the information can still be pulled off of it, correct? I understand there'll be some loss, but the information is crucial (yet, unfortunately, not backed up) to the client. I do understand the information can be pulled off, though...
Hmm, I want to buy one of those adapters now. I can't fit my fingers in there easily (not due to fatness; I hate claustrophobic spaces and it's a tough reach in my case), and so it took me a few tries to hook everything up. Then the squinting to read the little tiny text telling me what pin...
Hi everyone,
I may or may not be getting a 7950GX2 video card (to replace the 6800GT on the system in my sig), and was wondering if my current power supply would be enough to power it.
If not, I'm looking into getting this PSU.
I'd also like to ask if either of these power supplies...
Hmm, well, I changed the boot order and it does detect the hard drive, and the hard drive is second to boot after CD-ROM, and network is nowhere in the boot order list.
If, after I've said that, it still is determined to be the hard drive, could I take the hard drive out and install it in my...
One of my friends has an HP ze2000 laptop that hasn't booted successfully for a few weeks now. Her warranty's expired, so I'm going to take a look at it.
The problem occurs once the HP logo loads at the beginning of the boot-up sequence, after the BIOS-key is shown, etc. The error that pops...
Update:
Still no response from BFG via email...
And I've switched the card to my second PCI-E slot, and still have the same problems. I also tried lowering all settings etc., but the problems still happen. I've never used the second slot before, so I don't believe it, too, could be...
You need to see what enthusiast gamers really want, and keep yourself open to feedback on all levels (forums, email, phone, etc.). Constantly improve your products, learn what fads enthusiasts/gamers are interested in, improve quality and keep the PCs affordable for a wide variety of customer...
QFT. It takes a big person to admit their mistakes, and whether he's sincere or not, he still came here and openly apologised and made available himself for contact. That's more than can be said of a lot of people today, so both Richard and Neil get quite a bit of respect from me for that.
Well, the reason for the deletion is "internal issue", so it was probably something that didn't pertain to us as readers, but more fitted to a private discussion amongst Systemax and HardOCP.
Thanks Jedi. Once I get some more advice/thoughts, I'll look into buying a cheap PCI-E card. I had a PCI Radeon 7000 in there until the RMA returned, but that can't play any recent games at even the lowest settings.
I just tested the 6800GT in Source to see if it would repeat what it did...
Hi everyone,
Now, a little backstory before I get into the problem:
I'm a game reviewer, and as such, require decent hardware to do my work. Back in August 2005, I custom-built my PC (seen in my sig as "Blackout"), using a BFG Tech 6800GT OC 256mb PCI-E video card. It worked alright...
Hmm, SuperGee sounds a lot like Terra...
Anyway, I have an email pending with AIseek to request more information. Two days in the queue now, so I hope they'll respond as I am a valid game developer...
Sorry for going off-topic so much, but what's the Visio-similar program included with OOo? I've only used Writer and Calc thus far, so I haven't even loaded the others.
