I'm still using it in my server to power an Intel Xeon-D and six 3.5" hard drives without noise complaints.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Still got my 4770k going in an NCASE M1 v1 from the initial batch. I've upgraded the GPU but have found no reason to upgrade the CPU yet. I'd definitely go team red with an Accelero 3 cooler and some Noctua fans.

The Intel compatible Impact boards all had M.2, well at least my Impact VI with i7-4770k has one.

    GTX 1650 out

A few articles have mentioned a part number for an ASUS low profile model for both this and a 1650ti (!!) so I'm sure we will be seeing low profile models soon enough. THAT'S what the SFF community wants :)

    GTX 1650 out

They will have LP versions. Product numbers have popped up on the web for LP 1650 and LP 1650ti, but I haven't seen any product shots yet.

Low profile air cooler for 3U case

I love my NH-L12s as an actual "low profile" cooler. 110mm is a huge height. You have plenty of space.

Old tech question. Half height card, DVI-D 1600p

The low profile 1050/1050 ti cards just draw 75w through the PCIe lanes and would likely be compatible. They are all dual slot though, is there room for a dual slot half height card? I'm guessing the 1030's are the same size, but would be cheaper.

Small form factor PC for 24-7 4K video playback

I agree - the file type is very important. Here is a small industrial PC that is designed for digital signage: https://www.servethehome.com/fujitsu-d3544-s-review-an-industrial-mini-stx-platform/

    RX Vega Owners Thread

I've been fighting power supply issues with my Vega56 for over a year now. Silverstone SX650-G was tripping OCP in certain games unless I ran Vega 56 in power saver mode. Silverstone confirmed they made a change to the OCP to prevent this from happening and replaced it under warranty. I bought...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-sf600-platinum-psu,5936.html Tom's Hardware just posted an incredibly detailed review of the SF600 Platinum and gave it lots of praise. I thought this note was interesting at the end, and explains why the PSU review was so thorough: "Aris...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

Open the SF600 PSU and find room for a connection like that. Also, look at the price of the PSU and add $20. Neither of those seem reasonable.

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

SF600 platinum is also a PWM fan. How would you expect software control? It would need USB or some other communication to your motherboard, or you could buy an extension cable and route the 4 pin connector to your motherboard. Alternatively, you could install a manual/hardware fan controller...

    FS: Silverstone SX650-G SFX PSU

New Silverstone 650W SFX PSU for sale. Opened the box just to test that it is functioning properly (tested with i7-4770k and Vega 56 overclock). Fully modular PSU, gold rated, SFX form factor. Comes with all accessories. Asking $100 shipped in the USA, located in DC and willing to take local...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Happy NCASE v1 owner here. My build has changed a bit from when I first put it together after that fateful initial production run. Upgraded a GTX 780 to Vega56 with Morpheus2 cooler + Noctua slim fans. Upgraded a Silverstone 450w Gold SFX psu to accept an aftermarket slim 80mm fan and then...

    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

Hey guys, I bought the SF600 platinum direct from Corsair on the 20% off deal. I've been using it for about 2 weeks but I don't need it anymore (got my Silverstone unit back from RMA) and would be willing to sell it for cost ($120+shipping). PM me if interested.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I really like my SX650 too but recently had to RMA it. Silverstone made a change to correct premature OCP that occurs with Vega cards. I've ordered a SF600 platinum to use while my SX650 is out for RMA. I got the SF600 plat for $120 shipped for Black Friday so I figure I can just sell it for...

Quieter fan for flex power supply

OP - what about tapping into the GPU fan header? This PSU is only powering a GPU so it stands to reason that as GPU temps increase the PSU load increases as well. Depending on the GPU it could have a 4 or 5 pin mini connector. Moddiy makes several splitters and adapters that could work .You...

    DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

There is no Noctua NH-C12S, it is the Noctua NH-C12P, but that has also been discontinued. The Noctua NH-L12s is the current 120mm top/down cooler but it is super low profile and not nearly as beefy as the old NH-C12P (which also had a "SE14" version that came with a 140mm fan)

Modifying vBIOS for minimum fan speed

Thanks! My low-noise adapter from Noctua allowed Furmark to run for 10 minutes before it hit the thermal limit so maybe Heaven or Superposition will be acceptable. I'll try out some tests, then try swapping fan airflow direction, then try more drastic measures.

Modifying vBIOS for minimum fan speed

The fans need to be 80mm slim fans, and the Noiseblockers are considered very high quality and well performing fans for their size. The fan header on the graphics card is only 3 pin, so I assume "30%" correlates to a voltage and that voltage is spinning the fans at closer to 60-70% of their max...

Modifying vBIOS for minimum fan speed

Hey everyone, I recently added a 1050 ti low profile card to my tiny gaming PC (this one: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N105TOC-4GL#kf). There was enough space that I removed the small fan and hooked up a pair of Noiseblocker 80x15mm fans to a splitter off the fan header on the...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I've got a C12p SE14 cooling a stock clock 4770k. I even upgraded the fan to the newer 150mm circular Noctua that uses 140mm fan mounts. It stays nice and quiet under any real workload or game, but it hits 100c in prime95 small ffts if that matters for you. If you don't have a fan to pair it...

    Check my HTPC Build

I have the 2400g and ASRock b450 combo and am very happy. Are you gaming at all? If not, drop to a 2200g and get slower RAM. 2x4gb ddr4-2400 can be had much cheaper and is perfectly good for HTPC if you're not gaming (or just playing party games like jackbox or worms). SSD you have is overkill...

    Slim cheap ITX case

I like my Realan Ei7 for living room PC duties. Small, with room for a large cooler. ITX motherboards may have a better audio output solution than the NUC. Although this doesn't matter much if you're just sending the receiver digital audio or using a USB DAC
