You need to get better weapons as others have said. Hunter is pretty hard when you have a weak sniper and pistols. Go rerun some of the "dungeons" and check the vendors items seem to change once a reload or so if I remember right. Dont shy away from that awesome shotgun or smg either...

Another vote for robo defense. Quite fun if you like tower defense type games. Could also give Paper Toss a try. It is fun in short bursts.

Anymore I try to use modular psu. And make sure it has tested well on a few sites. Cables should be pretty long as well.

ahh, good point. I was looking for leaks or a bad stick of ram. I wasn't really focusing on the orginal poster. It was Mojo's post (#31) that got me started. I'm still testing mobo/vid drivers. Don't think its going to help but its worth a try.

I have tried disabling fastwrites as well. No go. Been messing with some crazy configs for source, ones that drop textures and disables physics, etc.. I still have problems. Unless someone has something else to try, I'm done. I have tried everything I know. Maybe Nvidia or Valve will know...
