CoolIT Eliminator in a existing WC loop

The Freezone and Eliminator use 1/4" hose. Don't bother. Edit: it will just add way too much restriction to your current setup.

Is this motherboard CPU socket damaged?

it looks to me like those solder points are clean and never used. I have an LGA board here that has open points in the socket area similar to the pic above and it works fine. Try the board... I'll bet it's meant to be that way.

    Aqua Computer or Dtek

Forum conflict is nerd crack.:D It will never end. IMO the cooling forums would get a little stale if we didn't duke it out every once in a while. The flow debate is really an end user debate anyway. If thermal engineers and the companies they work for were flow cultists like many people here we...

    Question for experienced Watercoolers

Run Away! Run Away! Corsair Nautilus 500 Start with that and add a VGA cooler if needed. If you end up with an 8800 or something you can always add a second radiator later. The pump in there can take it with ease.

    Overclocked and funny sqealing?

PSU would be my first guess. After that the VR's on the mobo. Either way back off your OC before you fry something. Try using a different higher quality PSU and see if it goes away. I have had some issues with the more recent truepower Antecs just up and dying or squealing then dying.

Getting 7/16" tubing on D5's barbs?! How?

http://plasticdistribution.net/tygon-tubing.htm that is a really good quick comparison chart for the different types of Tygon. R3400 is pretty robust stuff. Having been considering a chilled alcohol loop for a while that 2700 is pretty tempting...:D

Getting 7/16" tubing on D5's barbs?! How?

post some pics when you are done! R3400 is hawt looking stuff. I plumbed my whole machine with it and i couldnt be happier. It is a bit stiff compared to masterkleer but resists kinking very well. The UV resistance couldnt hurt either.:D

    Bit-Tech Drops Real World Testing

I am also sad to see them go back to the "darkside". Hopefully we pick up some of their readers who just can't go back to canned benchies. I for one, could never go back. So does this make us the only site doing it the right way?

Here are some early DX10 Benchmarks

not around here it ain't. i love how he justifies the card by calling it more forward looking...how about the 8800GTS 320MB beating it in FEAR at every resolution? (with AA turned on mind you) it might be time to readjust your definition of "good" and I for one have not trusted THG for years...

    Ubuntu 7.04 and widescreens

couldnt get WS running on my Geforce2 Ultra (classic eh?), so i thought i would be slick and just upgrade to a 865G board and had the same issues with the intel graphics. Chilled Watercooling mishmash

http://www.koolance.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=37_54&products_id=235 that radiator came to mind just because of the tube size, and it is single pass so hopefully not to much work for the pump. can fit a pair of 120s too might just do the trick.

Question about my integrated Vid Card 6150e

to get the Negative LOD bias option to show up you need to change the "view" drop down box to say advanced view. It's about half way down. As far as the frame buffer question... it might be called something else but it should be under integrated devices in the bios. It will probably have...

Question about my integrated Vid Card 6150e

you can get some halfway decent performance out of the 6150 if you tweak it a bit. Look in the bios and make sure your frame buffer is not set to 64MB (compaq loves doing that). Try and set it at 128 (256 isn't going to help you any and jsut use up RAM). After that go into the Nvidia control...

What AMD stock HSF version is the best?

um, it is on the fan, not the heatsink, and case air is rushing past it. While I agree there is probably a small amount of heat being radiated to it convection is pretty much being defeated by the fan.
  32. J

What AMD stock HSF version is the best?

FYI there is a temperature sensor on the fan that DOES use case temp to adjust the speed. Take a look for yourself. It is the little green thermisistor sticking out of the hub just under the blades.
