Hey guys. I will be getting a I7-6700 (non k) when it is released. Which speed DDR 4 to get? Should I just get 2133? Or something higher? Would skylake benefit from a higher speed?
Thanks for any insight.
Alright, Just got the 7950.
The 6850 is still good, it just has to go to another machine where the gpu died, so I get a newer card :D
Thanks everyone! :)
Whoop. yup. gaming at 1080p (1920x1080) Using 2 screens. Not necessarily for gaming though, game on one screen and desktop on the other. Thanks for the opinions so far everyone!
I need to order a gpu this week. I am torn on which to get.
Specs
i7-3770
16gb ram
650w psu
Games that I play:
MMO's
Rpg's
Sometimes games like Batman, but not games that are used for reviews. ( I know Batman is)
I also do video editing and playback.
EDIT: Also, 2 monitors at 1920x1080...
Probably with good reason, I went to frys this past weekend, and asked how much the 3770's were, $314 for S and regular, $359 for k.
Didn't ask about the 3570k, but I can only imagine.

Keeps giving me error if I try and post the direct link here.
Same thing happens to me with a XFX 5750 (10.2's). Using HDMI to HDMI. If I use DVI to HDMI or DVI to DVI, no problems.
What's more weird is if I take a screen shot of the problem, it does not show up! Went back to 10.1 no problem. But need to get away from them because of the monitor...
Unless there is some new way, when you try and enter the key from the install (first time) it says invalid key. Then when you take out the key and leave it blank, you continue with the install. When I got into windows I again tried to activate, and it came back with something like "You...
Just to let you know, the vista upgrade trick works.
You can have a blank hard drive, install 7 with no key. Boot into that installation, use the upgrade disk again, chose upgrade, put in your key and activate.
WOW is the upgrade process slow, nothing but windows on the drive. Clean install is way faster.
Got to where you enter your key. This time it accepted it! :)
And it activated! :)
So yes it does work!
Wow, got all the way to product key and it came back invailid. Took out the key and contuned into windows.
From within windows I tried to activate. Told me to enter the key. I did. It then told me I can only use the key for upgrading, not a clean install.
Next, going to hook a vista...
I received my upgrade from amazon 1hr ago.
1) Blank hard drive. Booted with upgrade disk. Got to the part where it asks "upgrade" or "custom".
Chose custom and its installing! WTF? I will post back with what happened.
