All u S754 newbs think u know it all, lol.
I bought mine as soon as they came out, I've used 6 mobos & tried 8 types of ram with this cpu.
Notice all the S754 Club (is that gay or what?) boys come in my ALL MY threads to start trouble in all of them.?
You, Eclipse, and that Tseu dude...
Not with any stability & using massive vDIMM to heat up your rig.
The average user wants neither of the above & cas 1.5 doesn't help fps with an AMD64...
Ive hit DDR 650 w/ Patriot TCCD.
The advantage of TCCD on brainpower PCB is massive overclocks w/o adding much voltage.
No, trying to start trouble in this thread too?
The only reviews on the net I have any respect for are Xbit labs and Anandtech, and thats because I know some of the people on those staffs in real life.
I own a few lcd monitors and one CRT still.
As far as FPS go the CRT is superior, its other edge is displaying better black levels.
That being said the LCD displays brighter, crisper images overall. And for anything other then fps the lcd owns crt.
Yup, you're right.
If u need to upgrade at this time go S754. In a years time Socket M2 replaces S754 & S939. All these S939 owners have been calling S754 dead when their own socket is short lived as well.
Performance wise the Extra L2 cache on some S754 more then compensates S939...
Silver= optional side quests
When quests are available & you don't choose many all at once other Guild Members are also picking up quest cards.
I didn't do every side quest but I managed to do most.
go ahead, there are folks here that remember T_Bird of 3dfiles.
I set a world record at FutureMark for 3dmark 2000.
got congratulatory emails from Gibbo from the UK, Macchi, and Futuremark.
Copy & paste this in your scrapbook if u like.
I hit 1900 Mhz w/ a T_Bird 1.33
5 yrs later u nor anyone else has done that except me.
My mem controller is very bad but I no longer care. I don't participate in benching threads anymore, period.
Im way too old for this shit anymore.
nice oc u hit there, BTW.
Does say Command Rate NA but also said ran at same aggressive timings with ALL dimms occupied as it did with two. Aggressive timings to me mean 1T command.
"We were very pleased to find that 3 DS DIMMs (1.5GB) of memory worked fine at the same aggressive timings we used for 2 DIMMs. Even...
wouldn't surprise me, Im sure you're very familiar with user error.
When one of u boys can post a World RECORD benchmark score at FutureMark come talk to ole T_Bird, okay?
:D  :D
Lets apply logic.
USING one cpu Anandtech tested a batch of motherboards. This singular cpu has an ondie memory controller.
Of all the boards tested only the Chaintech nf3 could achieve the same high HTT at same aggressive timings AND 1T command rate with ALL DIMMS occupied.
So...
3dmark 2000 nic was T_BIrd
don't worry about my sig, learn to type coherent sentences. I've owned 2 Via S754 boards & experienced no problems with Patriot XBL. Of course I KNOW Im a LOT MORE experienced then you are, grasshopper.
Patriot nor any TCCD needs 2.9V to hit EXTREME HTT if u know...
Ya think I don't know the memory controller doesn't factor into the equation?
The original Claw, mine in fact, has the weakest memory controller of all AMD64's......
but if I pop this cpu into a Chaintech nf3 board all 3 dimms CAN be occupied and run at high HTT (fsb) with low timings...
Ive had a S754 here longer then anyone Im aware of, Im also HardOcp's only world record holder on any of FutureMarks tests. Dig that.
Ram performs differently because of different yields, different motherboards, different timings, different amounts of voltage to either vcore or vdimm.
you...
Can u not read?
Anandtech ran the Chaintech nf3 board with all 3 slots occupied at same aggressive timings & 1T command rate as 1 or 2 sticks. Its the ONLY NF3 board capable of doing this. So its specific to MOBO and/ or chipset, NOT the memory controller.
You're so stuck on yourself &...
