Maybe because quite a few people delete wmp from their system because of its power consumption and opt for others such as winamp、foobar ect. In which case he made need that 3rd party software.

O.K. just wanna double check here :confused: Is the optical drive 1st in the boot? If not ( It most surely isnt....so do it once) I was having issues with my new rig and the OS simply wouldnt go...kept crashing/locking up. I made the optical first in the boot and it immediately read the CD...

Have you tried going into bios and changing your boot order to optical drive first and hdd second? If your hdd is giving you any issues at all it might be worth a try. Then try to install the OS again.
