Well, well, well....spent some quality time last night on Giga-byte's website and found a FAQ that admits to the problem and says to flash the BIOS to the new version, so I did that and now my PC won't boot off the upgraded BIOS, thank god for giga-byte's dual BIOS system.
My Giga-byte board's manual doesn't say much about RAM except how to put it in.
Also I have gone into my system's BIOS and changed the RAM to be DDR400 and it beeps on boot up then switches back to DDR333 speed.
Crap on a crap cracker, I recently added another 512MB stick and its double sided. So is that what is causing the RAM to run at 333? Would the 3400+ have the same issue? Oh and the RAM is Kingston PC3200 2.5 CAS
