With the exception of about 40 retail store employees in the New York area Verizon Wireless is completely non-union. This strike is being driven by union employees at Verizon landline. The biggest sticking point in the negotiations has been regarding medical contributions. The rest of the...
I ended up doing the same. I have them hooked up as computer speakers to an SMSL 50x2 t-amp and they sound great. Paired with a PSB subwoofer they would be fantastic.
Just an update. The NAD and the PSBs sound epic together. I'm thrilled already and knowing they will only continue to get better over the next week or two is exciting. This was the best hot deal I've seen on the [H].
My Image B5's showed up yesterday and my initial response is wow! They sound fantastic with my NAD 325BEE powering them. They are quite punchy for only 5" drivers. I can't wait to see how they sound over the next couple of weeks as they fully break in. I'm quite pleased to say the least.
I have a set of those wires and I actually prefer their deadbolt banana plugs. I bought 50 feet of KnuKonceptz Karma Kable twisted 12 gauge wire and have been making my own cables. I've been very pleased with the results. The Sewell deadbolts are the best plugs I've used. Once they are...
Thanks for posting this. I've been lusting over some PSBs ever since I heard them locally at a high end audio dealer. I decided to ante up for the Image B5s. For the $249 price I don't think anything else can touch them. The only downside is the Dark Cherry was sold out so I ended up going...
The Denver Police have been investigating this for quite some time. I filed a police report about 3 years ago after we determined that a five line new account was fraud and we had to eat it. The scam artist certainly didn't look like a homeless guy. My suspicions started when they didn't want...
I have the ATH-M50's and I really like them. I can't say I've compared them back to back with lots of high end cans, but they sound good to my ears. I guess that is what really matters. They certainly sound far superior to any of that Beats crap you'll find at the big box stores. It is tough...
Glad to hear you are enjoying the Miccas. The more I listen to them the more I like them. They are the best audio purchase I've made for the dollar in quite some time.
You said no Bluetooth, but have you really considered one of the new 4.0 receivers and ruled it out? The newer ones using the apt-x technology are getting favorable reviews for sound quality. It isn't an audiophile solution, but it probably would be the easiest for what you are trying to...
You might want to read through the Budget PC Speakers thread in this forum. There are a few of us with the Micca MB42x speakers who love them. For the price they are amazing. I'm currently using mine without a sub, but I am considering adding one. There are lots of choices in T-amps. Topping and...
The broad stage surprised me the most. Paired with the PSW10 you should have your bases covered. (An interesting but unintentional pun) I'd love to hear your verdict. I've considered picking up a PSW10 or one of the inexpensive Monoprice subs to round out the equation. It's fun finding ways to...
I'm very pleased with them, but keep in mind they are 4" drivers. They sound better than they have any right to with drivers that small, but if your musical tastes run closer to hip hop than mine do you might want to add a sub. Given the cost, the risk is pretty low to try them out.
I second the Micca MB42X speakers. They sound shockingly good considering the price ($79 at Amazon) and the small size. The reviews I read were not wrong. I hooked them up to my NAD amp for testing but eventually I'll be moving them to my computer desk with a SMSL T-amp. That was another...
I have a Corsair HX620 that I've reused in 3 or 4 builds already. I had to think about it and it is probably approaching the 6 or 7 year old range. I'll think about replacing it next time I upgrade but since it continues to be completely rock solid it hasn't been a priority. It might be nice...
I have the case and it looks awesome. Unfortunately a few bent pins on the CPU socket meant an exchange for a new motherboard. Sadly I'd disassembled most of my previous system before I noticed. I was really looking forward to building it this weekend.
I have a Moto X for personal use and I love it. The specs on unimpressive but it works. I'm quite fond of the ebony wood back too.
For work I have a Nokia 928. I wanted a Windows phone because I really like the experience with corporate Exchange email. I've never liked the Android email...
I ordered one from Amazon this afternoon and it has an estimated delivery date of February 13-26 with Amazon Prime. It sounds like it will be in the same ballpark as Newegg.
It is a great case. I bought one so I could throw together a hackintosh with spare components. It feels very well made and is easy to work in. If I was still going to lan parties I'd build a second one as a gaming system. I bought it more for the look than the size. It feels small compared to...
Actually Verizon will be lighting up 26 more LTE markets by the end of September so it will soon be 169. The goal was 171 by the end of 2011 covering well over half of the population. It looks like that goal should be smashed with ease. The Death Star Network has lots of catching up to do.
You are wrong about that. Verizon currently only offers 1 smart phone data plan for the iPhone and it is unlimited. AT&T is the one that is no longer offering unlimited data to new customers.
I've been unable to sync my BlackBerry Storm with the BlackBerry desktop software since upgrading to this board. Everything is working perfectly now. Obviously there was more wrong with the USB settings in the earlier bios revisions than even Gigabyte was aware. If you are having trouble with...
