Sort of a weird post... mix of topics. Been thinking about getting into Minecraft, with all the time to kill before games like Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, Max Payne 3 etc. are released. But, I'm a little hesitant, not because of Minecraft itself, but because of Java... which is still...

First one up, which is actually well-written: http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1210387p1.html If it's a fair and accurate review, which it actually seems (yeah, I know it's IGN, but it seems fair and objective and detailed), then I'm seriously impressed and stoked! I'm referring to the...

Just curious, given that I've never downloaded anything from Blizz before. When D3 is released, how will you be obtaining it and why? Digital? Hard copy? Even if they offer pre-loading, wondering how clogged their pipeline is going to end up for digital download. Note: this thread...

How do you prevent/change YouTube from letterboxing videos? I take vids with FRAPS, use WMM and Handbrake to compress just a bit, no letterboxing, but every vid I upload, YouTube adds letterboxing automatically. Does anyone know why? Or how to fix/get around the issue? Cant find a...

It actually looks decent... more fun than Rage, IMO, ha ha. http://store.steampowered.com/app/43190/ Gory, slightly weird but good looking visuals, looks like has some fun game mechanics. Anyone check it out yet?

Anyone throw me some info/feedback on what the best chat prog currently would be? I've always used Vent, due to it's voice quality, ease of use/set-up etc. Never used TS. Usually rent servers from Nuclearfallout. Is Vent still a good/viable choice these days? But, if someone has a...

Many links to it, but here's just one, to this insane story. People are just losing their minds these days. How fucked-up can people be? They got roughly $10k for selling their kids, to fund their online gaming habit. They've been arrested, obviously. I've known people who've joked...

It's really about the games themselves, not the DD platform, except for the fact that with digital, you usually cannot cancel a pre-order. So, that's why I'm curious, as it makes a statement about just how much trust you have in the game(s) you've pre-ordered ending being great. For my wife...

Thoughts? Opinions? http://ingame.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/07/12/7069092-your-pc-might-just-play-xbox-360-games Not that I'd want to play an X360 version of a game on my rig, but it's interesting, I suppose. Thanks to my gaming nerd wife, she found the article and I'd not heard shit about...

Alright, something still odd here... The size of everything on this monitor (19" LCD), visually, appears to be running at what 1024 or maybe 1152 would be on my other 19" CRT. I recognize size/colors etc. intimately because I do web design professionaly. Can someone explain this? If...

Hello everyone. I have an odd problem I need help with as soon as possible, if anyone is able to help. I hope you please take the time to read and can follow what I'm about to explain: I just bought a Viewsonic VX922 LCD monitor but, when supposedly displaying at 1280 res, it actually...
