Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The one thing that I wanted to see with this release was better controls. TLOU and the Uncharted games had some pretty lousy controls until Uncharted Lost Legacy. Lost Legacy improved the controls and character movements and this was refined even more when TLOU Part 2 was released. I know that...
I friend of mine told me that the Neo G8 is no longer listed on Samsung's website. I took a look and sure enough I don't see the Neo G8 or the Neo G9. Not sure why but these two models have been problematic so there might be something to this.

The game is fun but after a while you'll notice that Insomniac added a ton of things that get super repetitive to keep players busy. The main and side missions are very good but everything else just got old quick for me.
The G7 and G8 use the exact same panel technology. The only differences are the chassis, AG coating and refresh rate. The variation in native contrast that Hardware Unboxed noted between the two monitors is most likely associated with manufacturing tolerances/panel lottery. It's clear that the...
That might be the reason you're seeing issues. Vega mentioned that he ran into problems when he didn't use the supplied DP cable. I would look into getting another DP cable if I were you. Something like THIS .
I think this chart lines up with what everyone in this thread has been saying. The G8 is NOT outputting 2K nits of brightness. It's more like 1K for most HDR highlights. In contrast the Asus PG32UQX will burn your eyes out with the amount of nits it outputs for those same highlights.
OK so I used that KBB.com site as reference and switched between 120 and 240 several times. From my sitting distance I don't see any difference. If I move about an inch away from the screen I do see a faint grid effect. This is not a deal breaker personally but it might be for some [H] members...
I'm sitting about 2.5' away from the screen and I'm not seeing scan lines. My desktop is scaled by 150% via Windows 11 and I'm using Google Chrome to view the web page you posted. The AR coating is visible but I'm not seeing lines through the graphics you pointed out. Can anyone else with a G8...
My post was just related to image quality. I'm well aware that anything Apple makes is not geared towards gaming. This also brings up a good point. Are there any FALD displays with very fast response times? Sony recently enabled VRR and ALLM on their TVs but doing so disables FALD.
You make some valid points but also note that using an OLED TV for desktop work does have it's drawbacks. Try to hide the taskbar and don't keep static images on the screen for too long. By default LG OLED TVs have aggressive ABL settings to help dim the screen if it detects a static image which...
I have Contrast Enhancer on. Now I'm not going to post in here saying that the FALD on the G8 produces no blooming, that would be a lie. What I will say is that this monitor does a very good job mitigating the effects of blooming. Videos with multiple small light points throughout the image will...
I watched that same video on my G8 and it doesn't look like the picture you posted (note that I was sitting directly in front of the monitor). What settings are you using?
Not sure about the G7 but on the G8 there's a setting in the "Picture" menu called "Contrast Enhancer". Setting this to "On" will improve the desktop image once you enable HDR in Windows 10/11.
I just setup my G8 and so far I'm impressed by what I'm seeing. The desktop colors seem muted a bit but HDR Youtube videos look stunning and the blooming is almost completely gone vs something like the PG32UQX. It's close to OLED black levels on the linked video. The one thing I can say about...
