Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Meh, for the most part, I could not really tell the difference between this and "normal" rendering. The GAME looks pretty fun...but the eye candy? It's wasted. You aren't going to be paying attention to the explosions and reflections while playing, you are going to be focused on not getting...
Is that it? Really? Some shiny reflections (too shiny, too perfect)? For 60fps at 1080p on a $1200 graphics card? If this is the future, I am happy living in the past!
Would be NICE if they realized that a lot of users have OLED screens, which are subject to burn in, and made their apps appropriately....I have Google Maps permanently etched into my Samsung S8+ screen. Why can't they use pixel shifting or change up the location of buttons from time to time to...
At that price, I was happy to download it and play...but I don't see myself buying the Forsaken DLC. I am tired of chasing the carrot in this game...it's literally endless, and at a certain point (reached right before Taken King for me), it just becomes a chore rather than entertainment. When...
Good to hear! I know Valve is pushing games on Linux and contributing a LOT to it's maturing as a platform for gamers...I would still love to see full SteamVR support under Linux before I switch though.
I just built a Ryzen 2700x system...MY last AMD system was a K5! The new Ryzen chips are DAMN fast...you will be amazed if you are upgrading anything older than a year or two, REGARDLESS OF BRAND! The "Intel is better" crowd will tout 5Ghz and an extra 10-15fps at the most common resolutions...
It's still not "there" yet...especially for VR. Like it or not, the target platform for game devs is Windows 10. You MIGHT get your favorite game to run under Linux (hope you have an AMD card!), but it's a lot more effort just to get the game running at all, let alone running at similar...
Yup, I want as little to do with Microsoft and their crappy products as I possibly can. And a lot of others feel this way too...hence the failure of Windows Phone and the dismal sales of Xbox.
You are, of course, free to believe whatever you wish, but the REALITY is that UWP is worthless in a world where MS only competes on the desktop. There is no mobile platform (other than Surface, which is full Windows 10), and their console business is dying. The few titles (like the subject of...
Xbox is a joke, and a failure. It's being outsold 3:1 right now by it's competition and is in 3rd place behind the PS4 and Switch...3rd in a 3 man race. Considering the hoops you have to jump through to even get these games to RUN on a PC, and considering the vulnerabilities that using said...
I have already had FB "Suggest" friends for me that it has no business knowing. Professional contacts and other people I know in real life, but make a POINT of keeping off of my friends list! I am THIS close to deleting my account....
The beta runs like complete crap. I am hoping they fix the issue where the game physics is tied to the framerate...and support ultrawide resolutions natively, but I am not holding my breath. The game engine is horribly outdated and should NEVER have been considered for this game.
I didn't have to install their app to get access. I DID have to log into a long forgotten battle.net account and verify using 2 factor authentication. (which I am happy to see becoming a standard!)
Who really cares? This game was so overhyped, people in forums were referring to it as "Sunset Overhype". It was supposed to "save" the Xbox One back in the day...and barely made a dent in sales. The humor was juvenile, and while the gameplay was somewhat fresh, it was fairly repetitive...
So when can we go back and have our phones average cost be $300-$400 again? I tire of paying $800+ every two years for a device that really isn't THAT much better than the old POS it's replacing!
Industry standard raytracing is fine, proprietary BS that is supported on only one brand is not. However, I am more interested in performance with "standard" graphics, not in manufacturers sacrificing valuable die space for a feature that may not even get implemented by the majority of developers.
Still think I am going to wait and see what AMD comes out with before upgrading...I keep hearing reports of 2080ti cards failing at a pretty high rate...not sure if this is just "Founders" cards or if others are affected, but will wait to see how it all shakes out.
Um, because Vega mobile will compete with anything nVidia has in the mobile space? Nvidia isn't as dominant as you think, and they only have an advantage with their desktop products, and even then, only on two skus, the 1080ti and the 2080ti.
AMD is competitive until you get to the high end. They simply don't have a card to compete with the 1080ti, let alone the 2080ti...but unless you are looking for the highest end cards, AMD will serve you just fine. I have a Vega 64, and it's working VERY well with every game I throw at it at...
I am gonna nope all over that idea...pre-sanded or not, I would pay for PROPERLY ENGINEERED technology, nothing less. If a 3rd party or end user has to de-lid and sand the cpu to get the performance it SHOULD HAVE OUT OF THE BOX, they are doing it wrong!
And THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why you never pre-order games, and never pay full price on a title UNLESS you specifically do it to support a smaller developer. Sales must have been in the toilet (huge surprise! TOTALLY unexpected! /s) for them to discount so heavily, so soon.
Yeah, no thanks. Exposing the die on my GPU and cleaning it (VERY carefully) with an alcohol soaked Qtip to install a waterblock is about as [H]ard as I get. Delidding I may have considered, if my chip of choice needed it (Ryzen 2700x, it doesnt), but I will be damned if I am going to take...
