"Look if I'm fired tomorrow it will be because I told you the truth that nobody wants you to know. You can make a game with a simple prompt and yes you can make custom, tailored games. Everything you want in a game is right there for the taking, for better or worse. Gaming is the only industry slow-walking the transition because users have negative sentiment. Everyone else accepts reality, Gaming is the only industry where leaders are afraid to talk about AI. Users want the truth. We're using AI.

As expected, the replies piled up fast. His X account went offline less than a day later, and, per PC Gamer citing an Xbox source, he deactivated it because of the volume of responses. Microsoft hasn't commented, and his remarks read more as personal views rather than official Xbox policy. The timing of his admission is quite interesting, though. Microsoft Gaming CEO Asha Sharma has said she wants to embrace AI without "soulless AI slop," and just last week, Xbox also formalized Xbox Labs, a small team exploring AI experiments among other things. Industry sentiment towards AI remains largely negative, with plenty of developers still openly skeptical of generative AI in games.

The idea that Ai agents will not make 100,000s of tests for the game, play the games to try to find bugs and track all performance metrics doing so of all the branches all the times, scan code for issues and make reports on all PR and that will be in the anti-AI teams purist that want 0 line of code wrote by it or assets made by it.

Seem so trivial what he is saying.
