Last few weeks I have heard a lot of podcast ads for this service. It sounds too good to be true. How does it work?

How secure can it be when there is a b a ck door thay allows people to piggy back off your wifi connection? Also Comcast sucks hairy ballz.
Which is why I use my own cable modem and separate wifi + Ethernet mesh router

As the OP, I didn't expect this thread to become yet another comcast-sucks thread. Plenty of those here.

Why would anyone still on a tech forum in the year of 2026 use an ISP security service for any purpose? I think you'll find very few answers.

I am certainly not using this. I was just curious about how this works? Radar? Like I said earlier I have my own cable modem and wifi router. Pfui to comcast stuff.

It uses the internet and then some sort of wireless sensors--pretty much like any self-install security system these days. Is it real security? imo, no because anyone with a wireless jammer can defeat it instantly. Real security is always hard wired.

Oh and when you're hearing ads and they make it sound too good to be true--it is else they wouldn't need the ads.

It does not use cameras, microphones, or separate hardware sensors. Instead, it uses Wi-Fi sensing technology (Wi-Fi echolocation)

I suspected that there were fatal flaws. Thanks for pointing this out. I'm going to guess that most reviewers will not understand this issue.

Uhhh...to do what exactly? Spy on the occupants of the house?

If you have teenagers, it's also a great way to see what they are doing in "private." :D:ROFLMAO:
So it can 'see' through walls? Is this like the echolocation phone thing that Morgan Freeman's character gave Batman? :ROFLMAO:

From what I read, it'll monitor the signal and alert if it's disturbed. So not quite echolocation.

I bet a lot of things could technically disturb this too considering how unstable it can be just for wireless devices.
