“The be quiet! Dark Power Pro 14 IO 1600W is a statement piece, using an advanced digitally controlled platform to deliver a large amount of very clean power for next-generation enthusiast builds. By integrating dual UCD3138 MCUs and robust software telemetry via the IO Center, be quiet! has brought a new level of real-time monitoring and control to their flagship line, alongside native support for the ATX 3.1 spec, and dual 12V-2x6 connectors.

Electrical performance is where this model shines the most. Voltage regulation is some of the best we have seen; the 12 V rail is calibrated with a slight initial offset to perfectly compensate for cable droop, landing almost exactly on 12 V at the component end under heavy loads. Ripple control is equally exceptional, easily suppressing noise thanks to the premium array of Japanese capacitors and precise digital switching. However, when examining efficiency with real-world cable losses at 230 V, the unit falls just short of Titanium targets in the mid-load range, settling closer to Platinum efficiency. This is likely due to the platform being heavily tuned to achieve the Titanium badge at 115 V, combined with a slightly higher-than-average cable resistance, which bleeds off a bit of power as heat at the load end.

Acoustically, be quiet! lives up to its namesake. The custom 135 mm Silent Wings fan, coupled with the internal heatsink array, ensures that the power supply remains practically inaudible at typical loads, and still remains quiet, even when pushed to a full 1600 W. On the physical side, the industrial brushed aluminium chassis looks great in photos but is impractical to handle due to how it's finished; the machine-sharp edges are uncomfortable, and the soft metal is easy to dent during a standard installation.

Overall, the Dark Power Pro 14 IO 1600W is an exceptionally capable and quiet foundation for extreme power draw systems at a technical level. While you will need to take extra care during installation to avoid damaging the premium casing or your own fingers, that's a one time job. The excellent voltage regulation, ripple suppression, and deep software integration make it a top-tier choice for enthusiasts who demand absolute electrical stability and silence.“

High end CWT unit. A bit cheaper than a Seasonic Prime TX-1600. $490 vs. $560 on Newegg. Should be good. Most of Corsair's good stuff is made by CWT.
