After recently posting about my fondness for my venerable Filco MT2 TKL I have been using since 2015. I started thinking I should pick up a spare 2nd Filco should something happened to mine.
So after watching some listings I settled on this rather minty looking MT2 TKL w/ mx-browns that cost me $23.50 plus shipping so about $31 to my door.. came with the box and the stock keycaps are in good condition.
And then because why not ? I picked up a Ducky PBT double-shot keycap set from MechanicalKeyboards for about $31 (shipped)
The space-bar was sticking until I replaced the stabilizer inserts with some different ones I had laying about which have a much tighter fit into the space-bar... which is working much better now and is no longer sticking on one end or the other on a press towards one end of space-bar or the other.
All in all I would argue that if one could find a Filco in this shape for $30~ it is one of the best budget keyboards one could buy.... now Gamer RGB , no VIA , no hotswap ... no other nonsense just a nearly bomb proof keyboard that will last forever basically and feels great to type on.
