PRIME DAY: 06-07 October 2026

I was really close to buying another i7 270K Plus, but haven't gotten anything so far. I did get another 27" 2K IPS mini-LED HDR1000 monitor at Best Buy for like $55 after using a $208 coupon. They lowered the price since Best Buy's version of Prime Days is Techtober.

TP-Link TL-SX105, 5 Port 10G/Multi-Gig Unmanaged Ethernet Switch for $189.89. Lowest price by $10.

Davuaz 10Gbe Unmanaged Ethernet Switch with 6×10G Base-T & 2×10G SFP+ Uplink, 1000M/2.5G/5G/10G Compatible, Metal & Build-in Fan Plug & Play, Ideal for NAS, Home and Industrial, Desktop/Wall Mount $176.99. I got this 3 months ago when it was $152.99, so it's not a great deal now, but still cheaper than the TP-Link. It's been stable and fast so far.

Is there a good WOLED, tandem, matte 27" 2560x1440 monitor on sale for around $400 or so? Or are most of the models discounted that low older generation panels?

For EDC crew...

I had too many flashlights already, and now one more after seeing a few mentions of this. It's bright, rugged, and has some nifty features (front flood light + UV light, magnetic base, etc.) for $21. We'll see how it holds up. Would make a great glovebox or garage light...I'm just going to keep mine stuck to the frame of my desk for easy access for now. Will be handy for taking the pups out for bathroom trips at night.

Trading lumens and features for a name brand, there's an Olight for $14 that would make a good stocking stuffer or extra light. It isn't USB-C, but you can use rechargeable AAAs in it.

These little rechargeable keychain lights are pretty neat, too. Instead of a tiny little button, these activate as soon as you pull them apart then magnetically snap back together (and turn off) when you're done. Pretty cool design.

Absolutely tons of knife deals - I picked up several more to feed my recent pocket knife addiction but won't bore you guys with those. Plenty of vids out there covering them, and it's almost over anyway (though I'd look for many of them to come back on BF).

Only thing I snagged was a 250k+ for about 150 all in with taxes and cb, and another 1 tb 990 evo from BB for arnd 110. Pretty lame sale, and likely harbinger of things to come, thanks Scam Altman for sucking simple joy of buying cheap consumer electronics out of this world.

The tiny little OLights are great for working in cases and small spaces with that magnetic back. and as a keychain EDC light. I bought two (there's also occasionally been deals on 2pks) so one sits at home fully charged and I can just swap the bodies without taking the charger base off the keyring.

Edit: decided to use that credit to upgrade the HTPC to 2.5GbE - 13 years later still upgrading that machine 😔𓀓𓀝🤖

I have several older "nitecore" brand headlamps and they all still work great after 5+ years and all are accurate in their rates light output. Looks like a couple models are currently on sale

Over the past 365 days, the price of

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHFTFSG3 Nitecore NU27 600 Lumens Headlamp has ranged from $35.96 to $44.95. The current price of $35.96 is the lowest in the past year.

Any ultra 270K bundle deals?
No bundles, but the 270K Plus itself was worth it for $232.70.

The ASUS TUF Gaming Z890-PLUS WiFi Z890 is on sale for $214.99, which is $20 more than the lowest it's been at Amazon.
