They like the fundraiser of shaking down tech companies from time to time. If they actually tried to solve the problem, this income source gets cut off. There's a reason why you constantly hear politicians TALKING about problems, but never actually doing anything to solve them. The problem is the product they use to profit.
 
And will likely settle for another slap on the wrist because said politicians are all bought and paid for, like the $18Billion settlement with string attached we will never see actually enforced.
