Depends on what lite gaming means for you. Quad core zen+ and 8GB ram isn't blowing doors off any barns or anything. Might be worth an intense cleaning session if it throttles too easy. Don't buy $60 games and expect to play, but eh? Try stuff and see how it does.

well i put 32gb of matching ddr4 3200mhz ram and upgraded the ssd to a 1tb 990 evo plus ssd. everything worked out fine. I can play games like project diablo 2 and ut2004 totally fine. seems like a decent laptop for being 7 years old. I also hooked up a 32in 1080p monitor to it so it sits as a desktop for now. I am poor but this scratches the itch until I get money. Thanks for the help everyone. Also repasted the thermal past on the cpu. Works great! Thank you!
