I've got a mobo I need to test. I need the cheapest CPU I can put on it to do so. Technically it can take a Zen+ CPU as well, but original Zen is officially not supported so my preference trends towards Zen 2. Something like a Ryzen 3100 or 3600 or whatever, but if it's super cheap I'll entertain anything compatible.

Don't have anything to offload unfortunately, but just wanted to toss in 2 cents...I doubt you don't know this already being a tech enthusiast, but 3100 or 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics...So just make sure if you do test the board with such a cpu (without an IGPU), you throw in a graphics card in to verify if the board is defective before tossing it 😅.

I do have a 3600, but that would leave me with a spare motherboard...

Probably out of your budget but figured I'd offer. I have a Ryzen 5 Pro 5650GE, has an iGPU, supports ECC, 35W TDP. Not hardware locked. $100 shipped.

I also have ECC ddr4 ram. Both of those pair nicely with that motherboard :D
