OP13 in the Wild: Double Celebration Edition

Happy Chinese New Year (Gong Hei Fat Choy), everyone!

My birthday happened to fall on the same day this year, so I figured there was no better way to celebrate than at a local Chinese restaurant with my OnePlus 13.
Here’s a quick shot of the festivities. No special settings, just a pure point-and-shoot.

I have a 13R.
Camera is meh, but the phone is pretty awesome.
Never used a 13, but 1P has always been behind in pic quality, even with Hassleblad...not sure why.

Aurelius actually summed up this exact sentiment earlier in the OnePlus 15 thread. He pointed out that while the OP13 nearly nailed it (even with some ‘cinematic’ results and surprisingly good AI upscaling), the shift with the OP15 feels like a step back because of the smaller sensors.

The kicker is that their sibling device, the Oppo Find X9 Pro, still has the full Hasselblad tuning and is easily one of the best camera phones out this year. It feels like Oppo is intentionally hobbling OnePlus to segment the market—making the OP15 the 'gamer phone' and the Find X9 the 'camera phone.'

If they would just stop the gatekeeping and put that Find X9 Pro tech into a OnePlus 16 Ultra (or even just the base 16), it would be absolutely unstoppable. It's not that they can't do it; they're just choosing not to."

The R variants sometimes feel better as they're more focused: I don't care that much about the cameras or wireless charging, just give me a fast phone with a big screen.

Battery life isn't even close to as good anymore, and that's WITH the charger giving me directions to 80% until I'm close to my normal time of usage .
When I 1st got it, I was 8-10 hrs OST...Yeah, not close to this now.
Still decent, but nowhere near that now, even with the "Care charging to save battery life" nonsense.
I'm not sure what I am going to do when this battery is trash.
I've had Samsung - don't want... I'll never do iPhone..times are getting slimmer.

One plus is long dead... shell of their former glory days. Oppo is pulling the plug anyways

Yes, they did have glory days.
In the West, Oppo already pulled the plug—past tense.
It’s why I sold my OnePlus 13 and upgraded to the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
