Far from the best 939 motherboard.. these are extremely unreliable in terms of longevity. Not many people even liked the look of it back when it was new either because it didn't match any color schemes of builds. The DFI Lanparty NF2 Ultra was really peak, then it went downhill from there.

Looking back at some old articles, this mobo was one of the recommended & best motherboards for socket 939.
Any other options you can recommend? After 20+ years any mobo of that era will require recapping

Only pulled it a week or two ago for a new build. Probably have less than 150 hours on it due to the power supply failing and never getting round to replacing it

Still got the board and the box sitting in my closet. I paid $140 for it in 2006.
I still got a graveyard in my PC room! Bottles from all the different flavors of BAWLS that I tried. Used to be a staple at my gaming group's LANParties back in the 2000s and 2010s. My local Micro Center still sells BAWLS.

I have one of those CM stacker 830 cases! Currently housing my daughters PC. I had a DFI Lanparty NF4 board; sold it a couple of years ago to someone wanting retro hardware.

Absolutely not.
DFI motherboards were super popular thanks to reviews glazing them at the time. The fact is, their QC was sketchy as hell and no two copies of the same board behaved exactly the same. I used to build systems with those boards in them and it was an awful experience. I maintain that any motherboard that can't run automatic settings and install Windows with common hardware is a piece of shit. DFI motherboards frequently couldn't do that.

My NF4 northbridge chip died in about a year. I built the system in Summer 2006 and by Fall 2007 it was done. Ended up building an Intel X38 system in January 2008. In the meantime I had fallen back to my single-core 32-bit Athlon XP "Barton" 3200+ machine (nForce 2 board). That was painful.

Gross. PCIe was where it was at during those days. Can't run SLI with that AGP bullshit.Best 939 mobo?? I think not! doesn't even have AGP, but hey I'm a little biased.
I actually have the much more rare AGP NF3 Ultra 939 DFI Board, in my possession and I believe its one of if not the only AGP board to support 1 & 1.5 Cas latency memory.

Or you get that crazy Asrock board that has both AGP and PCIe.
That's even worse. Those gimmicky boards were basically all trash.
