Hello everyone.

I’m currently testing AetherSX2 on Android and I’m curious about which graphics renderer generally provides the best results. Vulkan seems to offer good performance on my phone, but I’ve noticed that some games behave differently compared with OpenGL.

In certain titles, Vulkan runs smoothly, while others appear to have graphical glitches or unusual effects. For those who have spent more time configuring AetherSX2, which renderer do you normally use?

Do you switch between Vulkan and OpenGL depending on the game, or stick with one option?

I’d also appreciate recommendations for settings that can improve compatibility without causing noticeable visual problems.

I’m asking because I’ve also been experimenting with Android gaming in general, including Roblox at roblox.com and Delta Roblox by dltaexecutor.com, and it got me wondering how much renderer/settings optimization can affect performance across different games. Curious to hear what settings you guys have found most reliable.
I’d try Vulkan first for better performance, but switch to OpenGL on games where you get graphical glitches. Per-game settings usually work better than trying to force one renderer for everything.
