So, by GPU, I don't mean gaming. I mean literally something just capable of rendering the Windows 11 GUI. I need something for testing systems that don't have an integrated GPU, like F series Intel chips. I used to have an old GT710 or something, but I seem to have misplaced it. Shipping to 77573. I'm looking for the kind of card where I'm really only paying for shipping because the card was destined for the scrap.
 
I was curious was makes a GPU Windows 11 compatible so I asked an LLM.

Windows 11 requires a DirectX 12-compatible GPU with a WDDM 2.0 driver.

Likely candidates include:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
AMD Radeon RX 550 2GB/4GB
 
Haha. For my purposes I don't even really care about it being 'legally' compatible or blessed by anyone. If it displays a 1080p image, I'm good.
 
I have an Evga gt something or other I got in a trade pc. I’ll check it out tonight and send a pic. Just pay shipping.
 
A vintage Radeon 5450 would do the trick, or something like the Radeon 8570s you can find on eBay for literally $10 a pop. That's even GCN-level, though in real world performance terms it'll be like low-end integrated video on an FM2+ CPU.

'Performance' is a non issue lol. I just need to know a system boots and is stable. It's a test bench card.
 
Quadro K2000 or GT710 with no PCI-E power required is my preferred for test benching. $20 off eBay with a DOA warranty is hard to beat.

For random knowledge sharing purposes, I've tried Quadro 4000s too but modern mobo BIOS-es sometimes have issues supporting it due to CSM vs UEFI issues

I got rid of all my spares, but there were loads of HD5450s as ewaste because OEMs all used them in cheap desktop towers for a few years.

If all you need is PCIe and a functional screen, HD5450 should work fine under 11 using the legacy Win10 drivers.
 
One of my media servers runs a plain vanilla 6800 128MB and I have a seed box with a 9800GTX, both running Win11 Pro.
I imagine you can use damn near anything that is PCIe.
