FIOS 5gb
Need help if I chose the right setup for Fios 5gb on my network setup before I take out of the box to get 5gb throughoit my home! I really appreciate the help!

Just got news that I can get 5gb and already gotThe netgear RS600-100NAS router. I was told it would link all channels for faster speed I then bought a NICGIGA 8 Port 10G Unmanaged, with 8X 10Gb Base-Tswitch to connect my box of 8 cat6a ports in the walls

My goal is to FINALLY have 5gb to my pc and stuck if I made the wrong router / swifch purchase. Read a lot of people have issues not getting even 1/2gb via wifi aggregating and it may have issues to a switch.

Is this a bad choice or should I sell it and get a ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro or RT-BE96U.

I didn't realize my other ethernet ports are only 1gb on this router so I figure if I get it to the panel in the home I can then re route the higher speeds with the switch to the rest of the ports.

Would really love some help as I do a lot of gaming and want to prioritize the pc

I edited post to say 5gigabit fios. The b never made it my bad.

I'm more concerned if I chose the wrong networking equipment and if so the alternative. Has been awhile since I redid a network and I can't rest actively cool much so trying to have less heat. I expect @ load only 1-2 computers and possibly a Nas will be connected to the switch.

You are over thinking this quite a bit. You already have the equipment purchased. All look to be rated for what you're trying to do. Setup FIOS, test for 5GB. Add in new router, test for 5GB. Add in switch, test for 5GB. Done.

As others have said, going to 5GB will do nothing to improve gaming. The only reasons for 5GB are for many users (which you don't have) or wanting to download massive files very quickly. Even then, there's not all that many provides that will saturate a 5GB pipe singularly.

There are many alternatives to what you selected. Are they better than what you selected, endlessly arguable. Use what you have and test to see if it works.

The only thing I've seen 5Gb good for that might help gaming is the sub 1ms ping times.

I'm such a nerd I guess.

I took your advice and will stay with the Rs700 I really just wondered if getting the Asus that at least had 2.5gb ports make sense as the netgear only had 1gb on them after the 1 10gb.

Pretyty pumped to finally have a wired setup. Any settings you guys recommend turning off or on?
