OLED & when they come out microledsare the only moniters with LEDs. Plus, why is there a layer between the LEDs & the outside of the screen? Why not just LEDs > Glass > Polarizer (The cheapoes should use Polorized glass)? I like what Dough does asks what coading tyou want, qhy all this matte craze?

Why do OLEDs just have LEDs that are able to go off & why is there a layer of anything between the LEDs & screen?
 
those led are ultra delicate for one anti-humidity and other protective ability can be wanted over the simple screen one, some of the tech have led only emits white or blue lights and have 3 different filter generate the needed sub RGB, anti-reflection material, anti-glare.

woled are white only leds,QD-OLED only blue,[/I] even the RGB oled will tend to filter those wavelenght with color filter as the organic emitter are not perfect and do not age at the same rate.
 
Oh, thanks, if it wasn't for the burn in risk, I would love a OLED & will MicroLEDs also burn in? Wow, I thought LEDs were not so fragile.
