HOT $479 PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Reaper @Microcenter brick and mortar

$150-300 more for 5070
https://www.microcenter.com/product...c-triple-fan-12gb-gddr7-pcie-50-graphics-card

My local store has about 25+ of these in stock for $580. I do agree that they're not worth that much. I don't know whether I would pay 100 more for them over this GRE. They have the same amount of VRAM, and Nvidia has better upscaling, but I don't know if I would consider it "100$ better" upscaling. Either way unless you just need it now, I still dunno if I'd go for a 12GB card or try to find a 9070/XT open box within that range. Might be hard these days though. Sorry I didn't mean to thread crap or anything, just wish the situation wasn't so bad right now...

You're fine! I'm not seeing 5070's that cheap, a person's mileage will vary with their geographic location. FSR 4.1 is nearly as good as Nvidia. AMD needs to catch up with ray regen and other such things to be more competitive, but they have incentive since they are supplying CPU/GPU for next gen consoles and there is a push for ray-tracing by Sony and MS.

I was tempted to post this when I found it one or two days ago, I think that's probably the price it should have been launched at (or around there) . I think it's a good price for the card.
I think $500 or less for this card is good, despite the rather low MSRP for the 9070 and 9070XT at $550 and $600 respectively at launch, but given RAMpocalypse and AI gobbling chips up, anything less than $500 for this card is good IMHO!
